Osama Bin Laden Dead

Honestly, this does not really affect Australia from the standpoint other than we may get a commitment on when our armed services will now make a full exit from Afghanistan. I'm more concerned about Abu Bakar Bashir, he poses a much more imminent threat to Australia than what bin Laden could ever have.

Furthermore, I find it disgusting that the US are parading around like the champions of the free world after these events that transpired. How soon everyone forgets it was the CIA that actually gave bin Laden the tools and financing to transform from the idealistic young Wahhabi revolutionary into the monster he became.

Well said Smeg

By the way, he will be where everyone who has ever died is, gone from existence.

but not from the history books

one can only admire the dedication and skill that he demonstrated in fighting his cause. Not only did he strike the US in such a powerfully symbolic way, but he showed that anyone can do anything if they put their mind to it.

This is an ideal that can be admired by everyone.
Now all we need is the next bin Laden to put these attributes to good use.

Even though he was a terrorist & he caused hurt for many people, George Bush saying his death is an achievement is just disgusting.

Congratulations.
It's whatever though, the world is a better place without him.

What do you mean it doesn't affect Australia. He declared war against us too. He said our streets would be filled with blood. His death doesn't mean all of our troops will come home. There are more scumbags to kill. Why shouldn't the US parade around like champions of the free world when they always seem to sacrifce more than any other country. The United Nations don't do their job so the US has to lead. That financing of arab militants was meant for defending against the soviet invasion over a quarter of a century ago.

That's correct, but **who** gave him the training and finances to fight an organised war against the Soviets in Afghanistan? He utilised that training to turn on his handlers and then fight an organised guerilla war against the West.

The US lead when there's a vested interest for them, don't fool yourself into thinking they act selflessly in conflict. You only need look at how many infrastructure contracts the US picked up in Iraq after they blew the bejesus out of it. And the fact they're willing to send so many of their young, mostly the dirt poor, to their deaths to feed their global interests is on par with Stalin, Hitler, et al. It's political sadism.

Whatever anyone thinks of America doesn't matter.
Bin Laden made it easier for other terrorists leaders to get recruits by using him as an example.
He killed innocent people including Aussies in America and ,by association, in Bali.
I'm afraid it is impossible to feel any sorrow or pity for scum like him.
Le's hope there is a hell for him to rot in.

Well they didn't know he would turn on them.

Bin Laden, George Bush & Obama are all hand puppets raised & fed by the elite money makers..
When 1 goes, there replaced with another.
Im sure the elite bankers who control the US government has a list bigger then forbes 500 on who they can use next for there agenda.

Terrorism will always exist when the world is being policed by Israel who gets the US government to do as they please.
