Our ambition for the rest of the season and beyond?

Win more games than we lose? Don't get the wooden spoon? Blood new players? Whichever way you look at it, keeping the motivation in the joint must be a challenge in itself, particularly when we also have a club that "generally" doesn't seem to come out and voice an opinion (or dare I say it a vision) for the future. This lack of transparency , in my opinion, has over the years translated into a lack of engagement by us fans. Like it or not, we have a voice, and WT management must know how to react to our messages, online or offline, even when they are critical. This connection has been missing for some years now, and is particularly worrying when the club's action do not attract a younger fan base and disillusions those of a more "vintage" era. Sport produces many emotions – exhilaration, disappointment, anger, fear, pride, and shame. If a player plays badly, they might (and I stress might) feel ashamed of their poor performance. But it is not only players who feel shame. Sports fans also feel shame about their club’s poor performance. But this shouldn't be the only common bond.

Continue to Shift players between Flegg and KOE to build experience and confidence. Maybe give a few a taste of NRL. Position it so we are in the top 4 of Flegg at end of season and then use our best for the Flagg finals And win it. This way the development narrative is supported with wins in Matts and Flegg and we have a base to work from to continue future development in 2023 and some players that may be able to transition from KOE to NRL in 2023. Looking at the Flagg team list for this week and it seems to support this strategy

I’m a believer that this club is so far gone that the only way it’ll ever be turned around is if a millionaire drops from the sky and invests millions into the club. Similar to Souths in the early 2000’s when Rusty came along. Souths would still be in the same position now if it wasn’t for him. We’ve had 3 finals appearances since 2000, and only 8 in my life time when you combine WT’s, Balmain and the Magpies. That sort of failure is going to require some major changes. And changes I can’t see coming anytime soon. We don’t have any famous Hollywood actor supporters. Let’s hope Kyle Lovett can make it big. Though based on his first outing as an actor, my hopes aren’t very high.

We have billionaire Harry & we’re still 💩

Continue doing what's being done by Sheens, tapping blokes on the shoulder to free up salary cap and getting rid of guys we know arnt in our future, we need to start filling first grade spots with guys coming through, but we may be a bit hamstrung, maybe someone else on the forum will know more about it, but I'm pretty sure we need approval from the nrl if they're outside of our top 30, so it may limit who we can give a run to this year.

Dev or Train and Trail players can play.
I don’t believe there are any rules around the Train and Trial contracts.
For instance Melbourne signed young winger Grant Anderson to a 6 week Train and Trial contract just recently to cover the origin period.

Bravo, extremely well said, congratulations on a well put together assessment of how the majority of us are feeling at the moment.

Honestly think any ambition is directed towards the off field for now. Trying to reset as much of the squad for next year moving forward. I think the players will turn up to the odd game this season but will be a glorified training run for most of it.

For non locals that's the local Ryde council rag. It spruiker the tigers no matter what. When we lose they say "Tigers romp to victory", with an NRL picture and a write up of flegg, or sometimes things like "the tigers were comprehensive victors in the second half, winning 10-8" without mentioning the score was 40 -10.

It's a good laugh and as a kid always made me feel better about poor old Balmain.

So we can play an unlimited number of train and trial players.

Madge was sacked because he was a square peg and the team was a round hole. But the kicker was we had only a 3-9 record. It’s a results business. Had Madden not given the ball to the Titans in the final minute of that game, we would have a 4-8 record.
What excuse would we be given under those circumstances?
Team is a bunch of "A" holes.
