What are everyone`s thaughts on our best possible 17 when everyone is fit and healthy ???
At this stage i`d go with:

1.Arana Taumata
2.Lote Tuquiri
3.Beau Ryan
4.Chris Lawrence
5.Taniela Tuiaki
6.Benji Marshall
7.Tim Moltzen
13.Chris Heighington
12.Gareth Ellis
11.Liam Fulton
10.Keith Galloway
9.Robbie Farah
8.Bryce Gibbs

14.Simon Dwyer/Mark Flanagan
15.Junior Moors/Jason Schirnack
16.Andrew Fifita
17.Jason Cayless/Todd Payten

*** Jake Mullaney could be a real game breaker off the bench running at the tired forwards. I`d be giving that plenty of consideration as the season progresses.

1\. Tuqiri (although not yet)
2\. Tuiaki
3\. Ayshford
4\. Lawrence
5\. Ryan
6\. Marshall
7\. Moltzen

8\. Galloway
9\. Farah ©
10\. Gibbs
11\. Fulton
12\. Ellis
13\. Heighington

14\. Taumata
15\. Flanagan
16\. Cayless
17\. Payten

i'd be stoked with that team.
Of course having shirnak, moors, fifita, dwyer or gower on the bench somewhere is also fine - it' just shows how much depth we have. Now it just has to be used properly

1.Tuqiri
2.Tuiaki
3.Ayshford
4.Lawrence
5.Topou
6.Marshall
7.Moltzen
8.Gibbs
9.Farah
10.Galloway
11.Fulton
12.Ellis
13.Payton
14.Heino
15.Fifita
16.Moors
17.Taumata

Just saw your omitted Ayshford Vicious, on purpose?

1\. Tuqiri
2\. Ayshford
3\. Moltzen
4\. Lawrence
5\. Tuiaki
6\. Marshall
7\. Taumata
8\. Gibbs
9\. Farah ©
10\. Galloway
11\. Fulton
12\. Ellis
13\. Heighington

14\. Lazarus
15\. Cayless
16\. Moors
17\. A Fifita
18\. Payten

With everyone fit and firing:

1\. Tuqiri
2\. Tuiaki
3\. Ayshford
4\. Lawrence
5\. Ryan
6\. Marshall
7\. Lazarus
8\. Gibbs
9\. Farah
10\. Galloway
11\. Fulton
12\. Ellis
13\. Heighington

14\. Payten
15\. A Fifita
16\. Moors
17\. Taumata

I've gone for Lazarus over Moltzen because he is still on the improve, is a natural half with excellent organisational skills, possesses the best tactical kicking game in the club and is a sharpshooter at goalkicking.

If Cayless can get his legs pumping and lift his workrate, I would reconsider him. At the moment he's underdone and Moors has shown more at this stage IMO. I'm also very interested to see how Simon Dwyer comes along this year when he returns from injury, same with Tame Tupou and Nu Akeripa.

Tuqiri
TNT
Ayshford
Lawrence
Ryan
Marshall
Moltzen (but only just I love our halves depth)
Hieghno
Fulton
Ellis
Galloway
Farah
Gibbs

Cayless
Payten
Flannagan
Taumata

So many options though id be happy with including Moltzen at FB and Lui or Lazarus at half, Brown, Daniella or Fitzy in the outside backs as needed and lots of great young forwards our depth is fantastic

1\. Lazarus
2\. Tuiaki
3\. Ayshford
4\. Lawrence
5\. Tuqiri
6\. Marshall
7\. Moltzen
8\. Gibbs
9\. Farah
10\. Galloway
11\. Payten
12\. Ellis
13\. Heighno

14\. Cayless
15\. Moors
16\. Flanagan/Fulton
17\. Fifita

IMO Tuqiri isnt the style of fullback that suits our style. Modern day fullbacks are an extra 5/8, and to me, Tuqiri is best on the wing as a finisher.

I think that despite his poor form at full-back this year Moltzen has to be 7 - great record in that position and even went OK on Sunday. Otherwise agree with that team and that the next most likely is probably Simon Dwyer.

7.Moltzen

Ayshford has plenty of ability, BUT I get annoyed that he plays with little to no aggression despite his size and strength.
I liken him to a young Paul McGregor and what a player he`ll be if he`s close to as good as what "Mary McGregor" was, but Blake is not yet using his size to advantage like he should be. Last week he was even slow when moving off our own line when defending and then just trying to tackle by arm grabbing which was very evident when the much smaller Phil Graham crashed through Blake`s tackle to score. All Blake has to do is play aggressively when defending and running the ball and he`ll be a sensational footballer, but i`m not yet seeing that on a regular basis.

Gee…..tough crowd.

He didnt have his best game last week, but he was in plenty of two on one situations with little or no help from his team-mates.

Not just talking about last week, just the fact that he is a big man and needs to play with much more aggression than what he currently does. Centres these days need to be blokes that the attacking team fears running at at because they know they`ll get hit hard when they do. Blake isn`t putting this fear into the attacking players, but no reason why he shouldn`t be with his frame !

There's some strong teams here - the backlines are exceptional and would have to be close to the best in the comp. But the forward packs are still an obvious weak point - they're not awful but none will instill fear in the opposition. Gibbs improved dramatically last season but we still need another prop on Galloway's level. Hopefully one of the young blokes will do that, there's obviously plenty of potential there.

1\. Lote Tuqiri (needs to touch the ball as often as possible and can't do that on the wing)
2\. Taniela Tuiaki
3\. Blake Ayshford
4\. Chris Lawrence
5\. Beau Ryan
6\. Benji Marshall
7\. Tim Moltzen
13\. Liam Fulton
12\. Gareth Ellis
11\. Chris Heighington
10\. Keith Galloway
9\. Robbie Farah
8\. Bryce Gibbs

14\. Arana Taumata
15\. Todd Payten
16\. Jason Cayless (I still hold hope that he will be a good buy once fit)
17\. Mark Flanagan/Junior Moors/Andrew Fifita/Tame Tupou

1\. Lazarus - has an x factor about him, and is quality when running the ball.
2\. Tuqiri - Big and Strong. Runs hard, breaks the line, and will finish nicely. Good under the high ball.
3\. Ayshford - Needs to bulk up a bit more, but his awkward running style is a problem for any defence.
4\. Lawrence - One of the all rounders. A rock in defence and attack. Will play for NSW eventually.
5\. Tuiaki - I think we all know what he is capable of. Opposition hate to tackle him - perfect.
6\. Marshall - Now a more mature player, and a leader. He pulls the rabbit out of the hat. Improved defence.
7\. Moltzen - This is his home. Completes the meaning of 'combination' in the halves. Great runner, and find the gaps.
8\. Gibbs - Hits hard in defence, makes metres, and slows things down when we are back pedalling in defence.
9\. Farah - Heart and Soul of team. Controls the speed of the game via the ruck, and has creativity second to none.
10\. Galloway - Another future rep player. Has blossomed in the past 12 months and gets us out of trouble often.
11\. Fulton - Not as big as other second rowers, but is a good ball player and makes a mountain of tackles.
12\. Ellis - Standout performer in first season, has started where he left off. The most consistent in the team
13\. Heighington - Monster workload. Should be interchanged with flanagan and have shorter bursts.

14\. Flanagan - Can play a number of positions but is suited to 2nd Row, Lock. Loves to tackle - we need that hunger.
15\. Fifita - He is big enough, and has enough mongrel to make it. Keep him in, he is very capable.
16\. Payten - A seasoned first grader, has the experience and leadership, and is a good ball player.
17\. Taumata - Another X factor player. Has speed, a good step & passing game. Stay out of trouble Arana, and you could do anything.

Thats my honest assessment of our best team at full fitness. You might be shocked at some of the exclusions. But thats the team that could work the best.

Moors - Needs more time to get his fitness levels up, and figure out the right time to off load. There have been a few silly errors from him so far. He will be huge for us through out this year, no doubt.

Cayless - Needs to gain full fitness, and some kind of form before being included in the team, until then, he is a dead weight on the bench, and the bench players need to impact on the game.

Schirnack - A tough one to leave out. Im sure in times of injury this season, he will be able to fill in admirably, and make a name for himself

Mataka - This guy is a fine player. If we dont utilise him soon, he will go to another club. He has the makings of a first grade player.

Dwyer - A first grade possibility. Has great size and strength. Would not be out of place if injuries occur.

Beau Ryan - Its tough to leave this guy out, cause he has performed his duties every week. But when you have guys like Tuiaki and Tuqiri - its an understandable omission. Im still a fan of Beau Ryan.

Rob Lui - Has done nothing wrong, but has also done nothing. He will progress nicely and im sure be a great addition to the team.

Daniela and Brown. I dont rate either of them and think they were a waste of money. We have better juniors in Pritchard and Akeripa.

Our depth is good, and once this team gels, and communicates defensively - they are going to be a force, regardless of a few ordinary results here and there.

Just my thoughts, feel free to digress

This is all a matter of opinion so don't bag me out
My team is based on everyone in top form & everyone being a strong defender
1.Taumata
2.Tuiaki
3.Lawernce
4.Tuqiri (IMO he is to big to be a fullback)
5.Ryan (only just)
6.Marshall
7.Moltzen
8.Cayless
9.Farah
10.Galloway
11.Ellis
12.Heignington
13.Ayshford

14.Fulton
15.Gibbs
16.Payton
17.Moors
