Our Captain in Exile

No, its Not time to bring Robbie back. Mcillwick has done outstanding for us, one of the few positives this season.

However it doesn't make me any less angry about what went down last season. What people failed to grasp last year is the domino effect of treating a player the way Robbie was treated.

This played a role in these players leaving without question.

People were all celebrating when the "cancer" an the "coach killer" were gone. Well how wrong were they.

Robbie was one of the few with backbone in the joint. Look at the way these players behaved this year.

Wrong, my arse. He was everything you wrote above as I'm giving the backbone.

The only coach that out saw Robbie got knocked out by the ref.!! Jason needed a crowbar, jack hammer and dynamite to get rid of the poor dedicated guy. He surrendered the captaincy to placate things. He took delayed payment that resulted in him playing to into thirties. He never took a bludge during a game. He had every trick out on the field. I can't see any of current players having the complete book.

I forgot I don't think he stepped back from a fight either.

Don't disagree with most of that, he is simply a prick that I am really glad to see the back of.

Considering he probably played a part in convincing the latest two blokes to leave the club it's probably not a good idea… and quashes any theory about olmate bleeding 'black, white and gold'. At least he doesn't anymore.

Loved him, but good for both parties that he's moved on.

I hadn't considered that. Makes you think.

The best thing that happened under Taylor was getting rid of him. Why would they want him back?

Getting rid of him was in no way condoned by all fans, many consider the way it was handled the worst result possible. And if getting him to move on was handled properly it was still very debatable if that was the best for the team in the short and long term.

It is easy to see how about half this board go crazy in zig-zag fashion as often as they change undies. Brookes turned from useless clod to Favourite of the Month.
