Tbh, it's a fair representation. Stefano is probably our best forward but isn't in the public eye yet. Luciano was subpar last year. Twal has been a honest worker but again probably not in the top half of the locks.

But.. would definitely be showing this to the forward pack before each game.

Yeah, cant say it isn't far from the mark, but if that doesn't motivate you every game and in the tough times, nothing will. I'd bash it so far up the other teams they'd need to ....( insert cliche here)

I **really don’t know how much players even take notice of this stuff. Th**ey aren’t as emotional as supporters. Unless it was an article slandering individuals, I think this is nothing more than fish and chip wrapper.

You'd be surprised. They don't read everything but do get sent stuff. Not sure about our players but the elite athletes find whatever they can to motivate them. But yeh, they definitely do read it and notice it. Whether they act on it or not depends on the type of athlete.

It's funny, Many here seem to talk us up and what we should be capable of - Don't seem to realise we're a bottom of the table squad until it's written down on paper and they can actually access the enormity of the problem...
So many of our players get automatically over rated by us here it's not funny....

Blore for example - A young back rower hopefully on the up that's shown "some" promise
(I Guess) Would I swap him for other young blokes in the comp - Toupinua at the Roosters, Oloka'uatu at Manly, Luki at the Cowboys... In a heart beat!!
(Don't know I spelt their names right)

These top 10 lists, are there or there abouts....
Barely any of our starting players would make any of them in their position...
(You could argue for a couple of them)

I'm not a mathematician, But if we don't have any top 10 players in any of the 13 positions... Surely, we're not a top 10 side??
If we're not a top 10 side, Why are we expecting to make the Top 8?

Further to that, How would any one player, In any one position - be solely responsible for not taking a team with zero top 10 players, to inside the top 8? Does my head in....

We've got some good players, But if you do a quick reality check through the other squads.... Even the clubs that finish below us...
Most of them, Have players that are in these lists - Everyday of the week!!

Cows have their Taumalolo's and Holmes, Broncos have their Haas and Staggs, Dogs... Well, They be better this year... But all the other teams have top tier players in these lists...
We don't...

I think its a harsh judgement of our pack in that article. Think we are around the 10th position for mine. Rating the warriors 8th is crazy and dragons, cowboys and a few others are below ours. In saying thay Paps and Api will make a significant uplift next year. I think we have a good prop rotation and i think too much focus is often put on 1 or 2 props when a teams season is determined by their 6 props and for me Stef, Twal, Tamou, Joffa, Musgrove, Mikelle is a good rotation.

Def risk in 2nd row but i think Peach is a great addition at lock

Sadly, our props are our weakest link, and it is being like that for the last six or more years!
But we decided to live in our fantasy land where the only weakness are our backs!

All the more reason to crack a few heads and see how you go. You might wake a few up.

For example, if I was playing the Roosters, I'm not really expecting to get on top of their pack. But every time JWH came on, Id have every one of my 6 forwards jam him all at once, lay on him, wrestle him, every time and annoy the crap out of him. I understand their other 5 forwards would tear us apart but they would do that anyway. Go after their heart and soul and belt the smithereens out of him, let him knw he has been in a game. Ignore the other forwards, even when they want to put on a stink to protect their guy, but deliver him 80minutes of foccused hell.

If we could coordinate that and everyone buys in, it doesn't matter we get beat 30-6. We would probably have done so anyway, but they will start to take notice. Its not the belting of JWH they notice, it's the pack mentality they notice where we all hunt as one, being prepared to take on the top dog at all costs.

They have tier one international back rowers and a top 3 prop in the game… that’s not even considering lodge, afoa and the young back rower that looks killer….

why wouldn’t their pack be better than ours?
