He's a shoo-in for QLD SOO too, along with Friend. Much better at 9 than Mbye. He's the best young player we've had in some time.

We’ve got to keep them . That’s the key. They have to want to stay - also key. No use developing a smorgasbord of great forwards for the Rorters and whoever else to come and snatch them away. But they have got to want to stay. And for that to happen they need to think they can win a comp here.

Well Twal, Aloiai, Garner, Mikaele are all on there 2nd or 3rd extensions with the Club with Leilua and Blore signed by Maguire with McIntyre and Seyfarth given there NRL debut here..none of them seem the Matterson flog type so cant see why they can't be retained when it comes to it..

Think you need to find your positive mindset Steve..it's not all doom and gloom..

So I’ve been waiting to be called out for being too negative. Fair call too. When we stop getting beaten by rubbish teams I’ll find it easier I suppose.
Thing is, this comment wasn’t borne out of negativity. Just saying if these guys develop like I think they will other clubs will throw a lot at them and our players will go where they get looked after and feel they can win a comp. that destination needs to be us.

Sure, Teddy could have done but in general if the club had some capable leadership between 2012 - 2015 we'd be looking at a vastly different 2020.

Going by that rationale Keith Lulia was the best outside back in the game a few years ago. 4-try Keith.
Sironen is ok, nowhere near the elite backrowers in the comp though IMO. Certainly not shattered that he isn't running around for WT, that says something.

I’d say he is on par with our current back row, not top shelf but not bad.

I was the biggest Siro hater there ever was, take it from me, it isn’t just one game. He’s gone to another level the last 12 months. Wouldn’t look out of place in a Blues jersey.
