I would not include Sironen in this group

Has turned into one of the best backrowers in the comp. His future projection is only going to improve.

I could care less for politics or dislike of the player. He is a hell of a player and was always going to be.

Have to disagree that Sironen is one of the best backrowers in the comp. He'd be a fair way down the pecking order IMO.

Going by that rationale Keith Lulia was the best outside back in the game a few years ago. 4-try Keith.
Sironen is ok, nowhere near the elite backrowers in the comp though IMO. Certainly not shattered that he isn't running around for WT, that says something.

I was the biggest Siro hater there ever was, take it from me, it isn’t just one game. He’s gone to another level the last 12 months. Wouldn’t look out of place in a Blues jersey.

He was injured for most of last year wasn't he?
I don't have any ill-feeling towards Sirro whatsoever........just not seeing where he is outstanding.

I remember your hate for Sirro there was no mistaking it. He certainly is a different player to the one we let go. We have a knack of identifying talent without knowing how to develop it. Hope that is changing.

Sirro is a funny one.
His last season was one of week-to-week spiral south, losing his way, losing his hunger, playing a style of bash and barge - I remember his coming up through the grades - he was a smart footballer: a lot removed from his father's type of play - he lacked his Dad's physicality, size etc - but always was a player of potential.
Coaching was his let down, from what I could see,

I’m not debating his quality now , as I haven’t been paying attention to him, but Siro had to go man . He was like the bosses son here. He had to go develop somewhere else. I’m pretty sure it’s the same reason Mitchell Pearce never played for His Junior club , and the one he supported . He needed to make his own way .

By his own admission, Sirro needed a change. We need to position ourselves as a club to attract players in that same situation at other clubs in order to bolster our young blokes.

Was actually reading his wiki after reading these comments last night, and reading about his exit from our club. His dad came across so entitled, thinking Taylor had an agenda to get both of them out of the club. No Paul, your son just wasn’t very good at the time.
