There is too much stock placed on having a massive forward pack… if anything Bellamy has shown that its not so much about the roster, more how you take advantage of the positives in the troops you have. Time and time again he has taken mediocre players and utilised them better than they ever have been before, tweaking his system to incorporate the roster he has.
There is more than one way to skin a cat. The chooks got beaten by field position, the bunnies forwards didnt bust the line, though they crossed the advantage line straight onto their stomachs for quick play the ball. They ran a speed the chooks couldnt keep up with. If we are not predictable, we can do the same with our staff to an extent. We all rag on Blair for backing into tackles rather than punching the line, where is our coaches screaming at Moltzen and co to follow him through... I guarantee he would be more effective when he chose to hit it up if the D was in 2 minds trying to read an offload as well.
Its not a game won man for man on a set of scales, its if a team can utilise the talent on hand.
