Panthers loss provides a huge reality check

If you don't get to put the same team on the field, week after week, most of the season, you don't do well and make lots of errors.
If you get to put the same team on the field, week after week, for a number of successive years, you have the chance to become a Manly, with multiple premierships.
The science and the artistry come together.

THANK YOU.

i've been trying to say this for a while, but ive become a bit fed up with explaining it again and again.

we wouldnt have beaten the raiders if we had been dropping half our players as we saw fit, then when random reserve graders dont live up to their promise putting the originals back in. That win was because we had belief, spirit and knowledge of those around us in defence.

Dropping lulia, lawrence, galloway, anasta, sironen, halatau and then reshuffling our entire backline to have nofo at centre and austin at fullback or some other concoction will NOT end well.

have a look at manlys backline in round 1 and look at it now. Do the same for the panthers. Now try that for the sharkies in round 12 or 13 when they couldnt score for 3 games in a row. injuries will screw any team (especially us) over enough in the season, no need to add to that and drop everyone after each loss.

lol. Lawrence wouldnt be allowed to set foot on the field in Manly colours, they wouldnt tolerate his…. I dont know what you would call what he has been doing lately.

I get the idea of trying to keep a squad on the park as a unit, thats common sense, but you need to have a competent squad to begin with. The sooner we cut the rot and put together that competent squad the better off we will be.

Lulia, Lawrence and Anasta wouldnt get a contract at any top tier club, hell, no club at all but ours. We are on the ground floor of possibly building a dynasty like you both speak of, though it will be the correction of glaringly obvious flaws in our roster sooner rather than later that will pay the highest dividends.

Stick with the Wests Tigers. The future for the club is a lot brighter than it has been for many years.

It was dark, gloomy & windy at the SCG this day for the grandfinal. Still remember Tommy's locks blowing profusely against the wind. It was a Saturday.

Our team is on a major upward curve despite the disappointing result. This team is really going places and I hope we can just keep all the pieces together (particularly Potter).

For all the doom and gloom, and yes I can see the problem with Rowdy one thing is clear to me. For the past year and a bit, when an obvious problem has come up, Potter HAS fixed it, but in his own time. I can see he likes to not chuck the baby out with the bathwater. He is conservative but does make the changes. Sheens would cause chaos with changes, players out of position, in and out but still not actually make the changes that were necessary (Benji).
