Parish will be coach

I'm confused.

Didn't the 'inside info' suggest that the Balmain board members wanted Parish the last time the coaching position was up for grabs?

Yet now Balmain don't have a say, and Parish is still supposed to be in line for the job.

Which means the NRL/Wests directors are now in favour of him?

Like I said, i'm confused.

The new NRL board members have been advised of the best candidate by Grant Mayer!!! This has FA to do with WM or BT.

There is no leaked information. This story was started by someone named tottie. Why are you people even talking about this crap.

The coach will be named in a couple of weeks and then everyone can have their heart attacks, depending on what side they are on.

In the meantime, give it a rest.

PS. I heard this morning that Craig Bellamy was so pissed off with the Melbourne performance yesterday, that he is leaving them and will be coaching a very young team set in the Western Suburbs of Sydney.

I wonder which team that may be?

Many of us have pets that would be a better candidate than Parish

Would Mayer and Parish been at Manly at the same time ??

If Parish does get the job, you have to wonder if it's those who wanted him previously over Potter, who have been undermining Potter all this time. Especially given Parish did quit the Raiders earlier in the same week as the infamous Dragons game board meeting/debacle. So that would mean, marching onward with the petty spineless backstabbers still at the helm, and a coach behest to their every brainless whim.

Makes Sense!

If you think he has failed, punt him. If you think he doesn't have the respect of the playing group, punt him. If you think he is lacking the experience, punt him.

We need a people manager. One who has the kahunas to put the ego's in place. One that is prepared to make the big calls and select the correct team each week to execute 'his' game plan. One that can develop the likes of Sirro, Brooks, Moses and like. This role at the Wests Tigers needs an experienced person to come in!

I'd be pretty disappointed if Parish gets the gig considering he has less experience than Pottsy.

Niccoff

Hey I thought that you were going to follow netball
Or lamb that makes sence to be the new coach
Maybe niccof and hopoate can get together for some male bonding

I'm gunning for Griffin now.

Griffin has had arguably the form halfback of the comp.

A team filled with Parker, gillet, barba, hodges, thaiday, hannant, McGuire.

And only just made the 8.

If he can't perform with that team, why is are we so keen to have him?

When Griffin took over the Broncos were a rabble. Most of their squad were new into first grade and a few of the experienced guys were getting ready to retire.

Henjack had just been punted. Hunt was not spoken of as a decent half until this year. Credit where it is due, as Griffin rebuilt that team so that Bennet could rock back in and reap the rewards for someone else's hard work.

I would like Griffin to get the gig with a 3 year term.

I suspect as the new board won't have much of a clue who to appoint as coach, they will be relying heavily on our fearless CEO for advice. Given Mayer and Parish were together at Manly a few years ago, it is not inconceivable that Mayer will recommend Parish's appointment to the board.

Well then Griffen is in the same boat as Bellamy who had a great roster, just made the eight and was ingloriously ousted from the semi-finals. In fact I think that Griffen did better than Bellamy.

All that matters , is that Farah's happy with the decision . God helps us if he's not , or it'll be the same crap as this year !

Is Farah a mate of Parish? He could be because Parish was the assistant coach to Farah's NSW team in the State of Origin. It may explain a few things as Farah is used to getting everything he wants.

There'll be no membership $ from me in 2015, if we have a coach who shares his love between Mr Jones and Mrs Hadley.
The team's got enough injuries, we at least need a coach in good health…

I'm kind of the same mate. For me it doesn't matter who is appointed coach. The club has bigger issues it faces in order to become successful. Top of that list is improving the "80's" training facilities. Improving that and overhauling the strength and conditioning side of things appears significantly more important than who should be coach.

If Parish is anywhere near our joint, I will not renew my membership and would hardly watch a game. I have been reliably informed by some very good judges that he is a hated man amongst NRL players that have had anything to do with him. I am certain of one thing if he got the job he would be sacked before mid season, our senior players wouldn't have a bar of him.
