Parish will be coach

McFadden & Payten have links from their Canberra raiders days…played together for five years

There is also the Rueben Wiki connection as well….Warriors strength & conditioning coach played with McFadden & Toddy too

I wouldnt rule out this rumour.....though Tottie may have gotten the info from the story in the SMH yesterday

@Ink,I have a question for you or others on the forum..If you or I go for a top position in our chosen field do we not have to have a top Resume,Cv outlining what we have done to attain that position?

It seems to me everyone is speculating about Parish,I'm pretty sure there are better qualified Head NRL coaches available if Potter is not retained…Affordability is the main cause of concern I would think...

Yep.
It all comes down to $$$$ I think in our case
That would seem to play in Parish' favour I guess

Not confirmed…still rumoured.
Yesterdays SMH
========================================

Warriors coach Andrew McFadden has taken an axe to his coaching team, dumping both of his assistant coaches as he seeks a team with more experience.

This comes as rumours swirl that Tigers assistant coach Todd Payten, who played with ‘Cappy' McFadden at the Raiders for about five years, will be appointed as one of the two assistants. .............................................

Ink,thank you for the reply,so if the dollars play a big part and we can't afford the top line coach, don't you think we will be underachieving in 2015 if we have below average coach just to save money,we would be better off putting Fletcher in the role he at least knows most of the players?

I would actually believe this so called rumour, Parish handed in his resignation at the Raiders at the time when we were supposedly having that famous board meeting 8 weeks ago to sack Potter. I think there could be a bit of a connection here.
Just my thoughts

I posted the thread before the article appeared …...I was given info lunchtime sat. You can mock me as you usually do but as i said i may well be right. Infact i am half way there. For the record i too am devastated that Parish will be the pick

Tottie I believe you mate, not that I would be happy with it though

If Paul fletcher was a candidate then I'd be looking at Steve anntonelli from Mounties .this guy can coach .parish was short listed last time and it was rumoured Alan jones was going to pay his first year of salary ..I hope the joint isn't taking the cheap option once again . We have some great young juniors coming through,we need a top coach to help nurture the talent , anything less will not be good enough .

After what Brad Arthur did with Parra this yr, anything is possible. Untested NRL coaches can go either way, though i would rather a coach with NRL experience.

So you're telling me the likes of Anthony Griffin, Nathan Brown and Jason Taylor are in the mix and they pick Parish…

Ok so we have two major issues. One we finally set up a new board restructure to rid ourselves of the old Balmain and Wests boys club infighting. We have absolutely been a complete basket case with the media soap opera this year with robbiegate playing itself out thru the media all freaking year. Our solution????? We sign the ONE person on earth who ONE has played his WHOLE NRL CAREER WITH THE BALMAIN TIGERS and TWO IS DATING RAY HADLEYS EX WIFE.You think the most powerful man in rugby league media tycoon Ray Hadley and his lovesick egotistical ways arent going to make sure that the Wests tigers are grilled from pillar to posts thru the media for the whole time this guy is coach.WOW.

@1/4ckicken,I only mentioned Fletcher as an example of less money for a coach because Ink and I were saying that we may not have the dollars for a top NRL coach…I honestly don't know which way the board is going and for all we know some other name out of the blue could arise.I just hope they make a fair and reasonable decision so we can have belief in the new board that we are going in the right direction in 2015\.
