Pascoe sanctioned by the NRL

I’m noticing on a few threads it’s not always clear what comment is being responded to. There are two reply button options. I’m guessing the below one is for a general comment on the thread and the higher one a reply to a specific comment (like this one I hope).

Thar is correct ..also if you highlight the text and hit quote your post appears in the reply as I have done here

This Thursday is the last day of February. Going off of media reports and Beattie's tweets we should finally get an answer from the NRL this week.

The club has also stated that they would know by the end of the month.

The Commission meets on Thursday, so I would guess they will approve the NRL decision either way and then we will find out.

I think we will get Pascoe back in July and a reduced fine$500 k

I hope you're right Tigerap. Reduced fine and a reduced/suspended cap penalty. I'd say if Pascoe isn't reinstated that Bryden's are ready to take immediate legal action.

I hope you are right, the salary cap penalty hurts more than the fine, that is what we want wiped off

Not caring about the money - want Pascoe back at all costs.

Forget July - I want him back next week, he didn't do anything wrong intentionally and has already served a 9-10 week punishment.

Pascoe is the most important person to drive this club forward in my opinion.

The other factor here is that the NRL have to be careful not to lose a good operator to a rival code. I'm sure many of them could do with a good, community focused CEO.

If he's out till mid year, then he'll need to stay on the payrol to have any hope of him returning.

For me the is main priority is the salary cap money

Then Pascoe

Then the fine

Pascoe will be back in May ….not that far away and back before any possible mid season swaps / deals

Have the NRL said that…?

I’m working off worst case scenario his 6 months started the day they made the announcement …they can’t increase the penalty

Well that may be fine in your world except the original de-registration was for a period of 12 Months..

I didn't think there was a time period place on his deregistration.

I believe the commission meets on Thursday and will announce the decision on both us and the Sharks on Friday

Here's hoping the verdict is delivered as some are suggesting when the commission meets next week.
