After this Newcastle mess it makes me think to appreciate Pascoe governance that he has put into place at weststigers with having a general manager role and other roles and governance through the place now. it’s seemed to have stop the rot Moses put through the place.

Newcastle situation sounds terrible.

Brownie was knifed in the back by his players .

What came out today was pretty awful stuff. Makes Ponga’s milkshake comment seem a little more planned than off the cuff. This kid may be getting ahead of himself.

Always thought Ponga had a funny head.
The way Pearce also commented on Brown, and then played, you would have to wonder what he was up to in the whole thing.

Tankers mate ... Tankers !

The story sounds familiar with the Knights. Tigers were torn apart, Dogs couldn’t wait to let Klemmer and Woods leave. Now a coach and players pushed to the same manager. It will end badly. Ponga will leave at the first opportunity in 2 years by then Pearce and the majority of the squad will be struggling.

@hobbo1 Mick Potter will be able to help Brown remove the knives.. he knows all about the situation at hand .The Robbie 101 text book knifing syndrome!

If the people in charge are unsure about the coach they allow the rumblings. If they back the coach they put a stop to them. Brown clearly did not have the support of those in charge and will remain the faceless men behind it all while the finger pointing continues.

I’d like to think so lol

G'day @Elderslie_Tiger: There's that DIRTY word/words again, ...Izac [as in how many zacs/$$$ in it for me and bugger anyone else] Moses :skull_and_crossbones: .
As one of our esteemed and respected [momo-amp-medo :relaxed: I think] contributors says
"the gift that keeps on giving"... NOT!!! :white_frowning_face:

@MAGPIES1963 Isnt it interesting that NRL HQ has seemingly dropped the desire / will to punish player managers complicit in dodgy deals and other shenanigans? Who has got dirt on who I wonder?

They can get Pascoe for 6 months for a seemingly minor issue but do nothing to the player managers, who, lets face it, are right behind all the dodgy deals, brown paper bags and 'neutral' tpa's that clubs are 'forced to do' to get their players signatures.

That would always be my fear about a player like Ponga going to Knights. They paid handsomely and took a chance on him as a kid, and it has totally paid off until now.

However he does really seem to be about his own brand rather than the Knights as a club. Of course I don't know him personally and maybe he is grateful to the Knights, but you can already hear the drums beating about his next contract and essentially putting the Knights on notice for how large he expects it to be.

That's the next contract after his current one expires end of 2021 (with another year option in Ponga's favour), i.e. clubs cannot negotiate with Ponga until Nov 2020? That kind of early contract noise is a big signal to other clubs.

Then you add the nonsense about maybe choosing to play for the All Blacks, because of course "he's always wanted to do that since he was a kid", like there aren't a million kids in NZ who would love to play test rugby. And, of course, the assumption that he switches to rugby and bypasses all the other guys plying away in Super Rugby to immediately become an All Black.

Knights are not a power club and when you get Folau-type players who consider themselves an independent brand, you are at big risk.

G'day @jirskyr: IMO fwiiw, Ponga is now tarnished goods.
With a bad attitude such as his, I reckon alarm bells could well ring out loud in the future when it comes time to talk turkey about a contract with the Knights, or for that matter any club.

@MAGPIES1963
Nathan Brown officially released by the Knights this stinks. The lunatics are running the asylum up there once Isaac Moses name is mentioned the stench gets worse the guy in charge up there Gardiner has told Ponga to get a new manager and a pushing him towards Moses who is best mates with the recruitment manger and incomming coach Obrien is managed by Moses as is Klemmer all I can say is good luck KNIGHTS
Also Moses managers Broncos coach Siebold as well as a couple of their high priced stars no wonder the have cap problems.

Totally agree @Elderslie_Tiger, the 'stench' is spreading and getting more stinky each day. Have a great night @Elderslie_Tiger :relaxed:

Todd? Are you out there? What’s your stance on player managers manipulating signings? Hello? Todd?
Can someone please pull our games CEO out of Politis’s ring so he can do his job!
