Pascoe sanctioned by the NRL

What a disgrace Greenburg need's to fall on his sword, the whole code is going down the toilet. The punishment in this case certainly doesnt fit the crime, and the consistency is nothing short of diabolical.

Could Farah's return to the club last year spark the interest of the NRL?

Unless we are paying him significantly less than market value and agreed to pay him overs in this ambassador role (When he is not under the salary cap) i cannot see an issue with this.

Playing devils advocate here.

Who's to say we didn't release him to Souths to free up salary cap space with the intention of him returning in 2019 at a reduced rate with a previous promise of a job after retirement.

I know that is not true but they are the theories people would be spouting if this was another club in this situation.

We will have to wait and see , there has to be more going on as that punishment is pretty harsh to say the least.

I think the NRL are pissed about the misleading document they referred to. In regards to that I do not believe that player who is viewed as disruptive in a playing role would necessarily be disruptive in a club ambassador role and I'd frame that in my response to the NRL.

Disgusting decision to be quite frank. Greenberg will be lucky if someone doesn't slot him walking down the street one day.

Didn't we all know Farah was offered a position once he retires.

Pretty sure it was Pascoe that made it public. It was no secret.

So how come its taken so for the NRL to act, and on the same day as Flanno. Gotta wonder!

So, pascoe and flanno de-registered.. Wonder what nrl has in mind for manly…

Iam not privy to all the details of the case the NRL has against us, but it would appear there was no pre meditated attempt to cheat the cap, rather a mis understanding of the situation. Yet Manly get a cap fine and a fine for blatantly rorting the cap, yet no one is deregistered. The Sharks blatantly rort the cap and two years later win the comp…...everyone knows it takes a number of years to build a club up into a position to win a comp, anyway the word is no heads will fall and just a fine and no salary cap penalties for 2019.

It’s totally wrong

If there IS a signed contract, Pascoe's screwed and should never have done that, especially with Sam Ayoub circling in the shadows.

If there isn't any evidence, then the NRL are acting on heresay and don't have a leg to stand on.

What a joke. The NRL making it up as they go along. This is the time the club needs us supporters to back them 100%.
I’ll be very surprised if we can’t win this fight.

What happened to the punishment to the players managers over the Parramatta Salary cap scandal.
Reason is they all had during Turdburg during his days at the Bulldogs.
Swept under the rug, that fell off his head.

This is total BS
Pasco has been great for this club and now they have de-registered him it’s a bit over kill for what he has done
This totally angers me with how the NRL is run these days

Wests Tigers need to get the NRL before the courts as soon as possible. We need an open impartial look at what, if any, rules have been breached and covered by what laws. No internal process offered by the NRL should be considered.

i dont think i have all the facts here but is this the summary?

- robbie was under contract for x amount of years with the WT
- rabbitohs picked him up dirt cheap in 2017 where we were gonna pay robbie the remaining of what was owed to him
- he also signed a contract with the club for 639k for an "ambassador role" to be paid out over 3-4 years

didn't we get an unfair advantage in 2017/18 because technically whatever is owed to robbie should've been included in the cap?

I usually roll my eyes at the “Ivan stuffed us” posts but cmon this is bloody ridiculous that we’re paying the price for his recruitment decision.
As poor as he reacted during the whole Taylor fiasco, It’s not Robbie’s fault this is happening either.
Pascoe having a signed contract for Robbie’s post career does look dumb but I can’t believe its considered a cultural crisis by the NRL. This only highlights we are a danger to ourselves if anything.

How on earth would anyone even contemplate that the Wests Tigers have systematically cheated? Or believe that Pascoe orchestrated the sacking of Robbie Farah, in order to only have him return 2 years later? In addition to paying another club $750,000 during that period?
This is the biggest crock of s*** I’ve ever seen from Greenberg and It’s really testing my patience as an NRL fan.

I can assure you there are many of us holding our tongues re Mr Farah one would be wise not to drag the past up and move on !

I am speechless. Without Speech.

We all have our tantrums and threaten to burn jerseys and memberships but I tell you what, if the penalty stands then I am going to follow some other team and sport. The NRL has absolutely lost me and their favoritism is obvious.

This is pathetic. Absolutely pathetic.

Looks like they used a 20 pound sledgehammer to nail a thumbtack.

Just trying to justify that they are looking after the NRL when they are ignoring more blatant and horrendous issues.
