Pascoe to review Farah comments...

This thread is a reflection of what is going on between Robbie, JT and the club….......no one can help themselves but have digs....

The old saying give a man enough rope and watch him hang himself comes to mind
Hopefully this is Pascoe's strategic ploy by giving Taylor what he wants so we can see the club sign a decent coach like Cleary for next season before the Dragon's do.

Look I think they should cut Farah some slack on any comments he has made

Lots of things can be said in the heat of the moment just after a game

Yes, but he was armed with specific statistics. It was all planned. Even the press picked it up:

_Farah's PR war ratcheted up a notch on Saturday, where a hooker straight out of the Origin cauldron outclassed part-time park footballers in reserve grade. As he should.\

But the Balmain boy who does cry and his deliberate musings afterwards – armed with an arsenal of stats to support his case – didn't gain much traction 24 hours later._

Sacking Robbie was always a stupid decision. He is a SOO player and he deserves that spot. We are a better team with him there.

The stupidity of JT amazes me. The funny thing is that Robbie comes close to JT's level.

The sooner both of their careers are over the better.

Just my opinion though

😱pen_mouth:He came up with stats off the top of his head in the heat of the moment..

Farah could learn a thing or two from Soward

Soward is not a Current SOO player and had better players in front of him

I thought Farah's comments were infantile, but seriously what are the club going to legitimately do about it? They can't sack him over that…

They could issue a first and final warning over any public criticism of the club or coach.

Ah well, if your not gonna name players there's no use bringing it up.

Even if it's his opinion, it's still his right to say it, even you have the same right . Even when it's drivel

I have the right to say it. But in my line of work, and many others, if i said that my services would be terminated.

Having said that, im sure the emotion of it all played a part and even though what he said was true mostly, i do believe a warning is warranted. Nothing more. If he really is 'smarter than that', others can do the talking for him. Its just a matter of if his ego can stand it.

Pascoe's holiday was planned 4 months ago, and he's been available for comment all week. He's given quotes to the media on several occasions this week despite being away.
Nothing to see here.

Man, what a load of crap!!
It's ok for the scarecrow to attack farah saying he is the reason our whole attack is not cohesive. Rite, dirty farah is the reason we play so poorly in attack???
But when he defended himself with truthful facts, he should be sacked, rite?????
U guys are complete tossers.
If Taylor can list reasons why farah is holding the ream back, why can't he reply if the scarecrow is wrong??
As farah has stated look at the last 3 weeks he has played in to gauge his form not 15 rounds ago!!
Pathetic, the smile on that head of the scarecrow at the press conference. Seriously how u could be happy with that second half, I don't know. The dragons were crap, and the scarecrow stating we lacked execution.
Funny stuff scarecrow, execution or cohesion???????????????????? Joke!

Wow - no guessing where that reporter believes the trouble lies. I bet Mr Ayoub will be crossing him off his PR list.

You forgot one thing. Taylor is the coach, the boss. Farah is not. End of story.

11/10 meltdown champ. Did you gloss over my comment and see "Farah" and "sack" in the same post and assume I called for him to be sacked?

Did you even read what I said? I said he can't be sacked over what he said. If everyone got sacked for ragging on their employer no one would have a job.

And you'll see me in other threads saying that Farah off the bench has worked and I saw no need to change it. Farah taking swipes in the media is not helping him, it is childish.

So champ your saying your work would publicly criticise your work ethic and say your not a team player and you have no rite to defend yourself???
Crap comparison, if your work/boss publicly criticised you like the scarecrow did u would have the union in and have grounds to disapline your boss/work for bullying!!
Again not a fair comparison.
At my workplace the boss would never say things like that publicly, but its NRL not th same as your workplace champ!
Stop drinking the water up there in QLD in rots the mind…

I know what your saying but if you were him and the facts the scarecrow stated u felt were untrue in recent form and obviously biase. Are u saying you would say nothing when asked by the media??
Rankin, Lovett and Aloiai (until yesterday) have been poor in form compared to farah. And are picked only because they suck up to the coach or 'great trainers'. You would be pissed too!
Strategically farah shouldn't have said those things, but I can't blame him as they are all true!
Halatau played the best he has all year, can he keep it up???
We play anyone else yesterday we lose! Farah still should be in the side.

Lathami's meltdown

I bet when he sees Taylor on TV he reacts like Homer when he saw the picture of Bart in the loony bin. "JT AAAARRRGGGHHH''

No I wouldn't have. You know why? I wouldn't want to give the club further reason to not select me, or try to push me out the door. What do you honestly think will come of his bleating to the media after that State Cup game? Honestly, explain to me how you think that spray has helped his cause, because all I have seen is it further the conflagration.

lathami, no player should come out and openly question the coach in public. He could very well say all those things to Pascoe and O'Niel behind closed doors and that's fine and how it should be handled. Robbie likes to drag everything into the media and make it a popularity contest.

He was totally unprofessional and will no doubt be rightfully reprimanded today by the club (albeit internally).

I also don't think it was overly professional for him to head to the pub immediately after the game. No hanging around with any team mates, he must have left asap just to go for a few beers with his mates (including Ahmad Bajouri - interesting that they're still so close after all these years. Lebanese connection one assumes).
