Ah well, if your not gonna name players there's no use bringing it up.

Even if it's his opinion, it's still his right to say it, even you have the same right . Even when it's drivel

I have the right to say it. But in my line of work, and many others, if i said that my services would be terminated.

Having said that, im sure the emotion of it all played a part and even though what he said was true mostly, i do believe a warning is warranted. Nothing more. If he really is 'smarter than that', others can do the talking for him. Its just a matter of if his ego can stand it.

So champ your saying your work would publicly criticise your work ethic and say your not a team player and you have no rite to defend yourself???
Crap comparison, if your work/boss publicly criticised you like the scarecrow did u would have the union in and have grounds to disapline your boss/work for bullying!!
Again not a fair comparison.
At my workplace the boss would never say things like that publicly, but its NRL not th same as your workplace champ!
Stop drinking the water up there in QLD in rots the mind…

No worries chump. You know best chump. Ill stop drinking the water when you stop trolling, chump. Now go back to the lawn bowls forum. This is the big time here.

   ..i can't think of anything else ATM…

Poor old Justin Pascoe appears to be in an impossible situation. If he does nothing about Robbie's comments, he will more than likely be seen as supporting his criticism of JT. If he moves to disclipine Robbie for his remarks, he will more than likely alienate Robbie's army of fans and supporters many of whom are members. He'll earn his CEO's pay this week!

It's not impossible, it can all be managed internally. Put him on a first and final warning not to publicly criticise the club or the coach and make the terms of the sanction non-disclosable to the public.

I suggest pascoe does a review on jt while he's at it and not on holidays. Maybe he can pick up the phone and give a few ex team mates of taylor a call and ask them what their opinion of taylor is. I can suggest a few, billy moore, gary larson, Greg florimo, david fairliegh just to name a few. I'm sure they would be more than obliging to clear up any confusion about what kind of a person jt is. Robbies ex teammates, current teammates and club captain along with Thousands of fans showed the nrl in what regard he is held. Let that be part of the review pascoe. I for one want a statue of robbie stomping on jt standing outside L O.

Professional sport is a popularity contest now is it? I don't think Pasoce will be taking up your suggestion because last I checked he wasn't a complete muppet.

I don't think they're too worried about alienating some fans.
The damage (if any) is done with his dumping to Reggie's on Saturday.
He should be fined for breaching the clubs code of conduct, and possibly even the NRL should step in and sanction him for bring the game into disrepute…. Sponsors wouldn't be too happy with all this.
Monetary fine should suffice... I suggest $950k

Farah could learn a thing or two from Soward

http://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nrl-premiership/jamie-soward-reveals-why-he-was-dropped-by-penrith-panthers-and-what-hell-change-in-his-game/news-story/472b91ae4d5a526b8a2acc72a35cc02b

Soward is not a Current SOO player and had better players in front of him

So what? Thing is that Soward wasn't know to be a great personality either. But Robbie would look great if he responded in the same way.

He obviously isn't following the coaches instructions or personality wise is effecting the team.

If he does review his comments he'll find he told the truth as he sees it.
Farah hasn't breached any code of conduct - he was asked a question and answered it.
Maybe he should have just said 'We're taking it one game at a time, the boys really stood up out there today etc etc "
The more interesting review is the one they do on Taylor's coaching.

This is about money - you can dress it up anyway you want players are treated as commodities these days unfortunately Farah is yet to get used to it.

Talk about a load of rubbish..now like most people I think Farah should be in the 17, but Taylor has never questioned Farahs work ethic or his ability. Right from the outset he has hammered the point its all about cohesion and changing the way the team plays. Now there might be all sorts of things going on behind the scenes and there might be dramas going on, but as far as what Taylor and the club has said to the media, he has never questioned Farahs work ethics.

Mate as the old saying goes…never let the truth get in the way of a good story

When the bulk of players [This word has been automatically removed] themselves off to the highest bidder it's unsurprising that they get treated that way.

There is a specific clause in the standard playing contract that prohibits comments to the media that are not in the best interests of the club. It's a clear breach of contract.

Clear as mud, Nelson do you make these things up?

No I don't make these things up. Whether you like it or not it's a breach and there is nothing unclear about it. Not every breach gives rise to a right to terminate and I very much doubt that one would, but it's a breach nonetheless.

There is no way this is just about money.

It's most likely that he isn't following coaches orders by being a ball distributer only or he is effecting team culture.

Which is another point raised, why haven't the players union or whatever they call themselves piped up and threatened anything?… My thoughts are that there is nothing to get involved about once all the "we all love robbie the legends stuff "is set aside... JT is within his rights to drop whomever he wants, and robbie is paid to cop whatever grade he is playing in on the chin, without crying a river to the media because he is finally losing control of his beloved club.

How can anyone say Robbie hasn't breached a code of conduct? He called our coach a liar in a media conference, which wasn't an off the cuff response but a prepared statement with research done.

Can people also not see that the likley cause of all this is that pressure was being put on JT to make the 8 to keep his job, he said if i'm going down i'm going done with the team playing my way with my tactics, and thus robbie got dropped.

No one is questioning Robbie's work rate or skillset. Of course he's the most talented hooker on our books at the moment. But the best individual player is always what's best for the team. Champion players get cut from teams in all sports because sometimes a champion team can beat a team of champions. We needed to function more as a team with a clear strategy than have mavericks running the show.
