Would be great if they can keep the tradition alive much like Newtown and Norths.
Maybe, but it feels weird to me. As I always associated Wests with Campbelltown. Yet I went for them and I always thought of my area as Lidcombe.
Hey if it works. It works. I do think Macarthur will be big like Penrith is now. So much is coming up in that suburb.

Only been to Campbelltown a few times and the only Wests Tigers game I will go to now will probably be when We play the Knights in Newcastle, as I live in the Hunter region.
I read a bit this morning about Wests Tigers playing a match in Tamworth again this year, which is great. It went on to say how much effort had been put in creating interest in the area for Wests Tigers.
My point is...it 'seems' more effort has been put into creating interest in Tamworth than Campbelltown. And it 'seems' South's now have a pretty good presence in the Campbelltown area, even though WE have been playing there for 30 years.
I wonder if Wests Magpies moving back to Fortress Lidcombe is a strategic move to stop any confusion among the locals as to who their footie team actually is, obviously Wests Tigers. Michael Maguire did go on record recently saying 'how important the Campbelltown area' is to WT.
With the Magpies 'back home' in Lidcombe, a deal could possibly be done to re-brand the Magpies Leagues Club at Campbelltown as Wests Tigers Leagues Club.
In a couple of years if the Macarthur Soccer Team is going well, WE link with them to demand a new Stadium be built on the existing CSS site to hold 25,000 fans.
Surely the strength of '2 successful footy teams' demanding a Stadium has to carry more weight than just one team asking.
if anything the Lidcombe move links with Ashfield and COE at cincord and LO
renovated SFS looks good for permanent move
Lidcombe is closer to Bankwest
Cochise they already have parramatta at bankwest
They already have the Roosters at the SFS.
no leagues club next door though cochise and sfa has traditionally been shared roosters and souths even us in 2010 to 2012 or something. it is not parramatta stadium roosters don't have supporters anyway
Don't go to the Leagues Club and it doesn't matter.
Unfortunately going to Wank Best and just seeing the Leagues club makes you appreciate how sickening it would have been for the Hobbits when they first sighted Mt Doom.
A truly awful sight to behold.
But that is not the end of it, because then there is the Hobbit size statue of Ray Price at the Northern end entrance, which one cannot help but give a Benny Hill style pat on the head in passing.
On top of all this there is the constant knowledge that there will be Parramatta supporters not too far away which when all this is weighed up and despite the fact that this is probably the best rugby league viewing ground ever built, could never possibly be a West Tigers Home ground.
