550K is not a huge wicket these days. Brodie Croft was on 400K when he was at the Broncos on a smaller salary cap, and he was terrible. That's just how much halves get paid.

Players are not all the same, some players always play better when playing firsts. Look average in reserves but better playing up. I say at this stage we should be blooding these players and see how they go. Miller should take priority over stefano now. Blood Miller up give him more game time, better fir next season. Porter should be nowhere near first grade again this year, he is not the future!
Porter is more than capable of filling a spot 25-30 and doing a job when required.
Ok, but he doesn’t help us to the destination we need. That is ti be best prepared for next year, and the best way is blooding the future. Porter is not the future, he is average at best. There is more upside in sione than him.
He will still be handy to have in K O cup and maybe fill a hole in NRL to cover injuries

Hes been solid this year once he was switched to fb. Good under the high ball, doesn’t mind helping out with the tough carries and has decent pace from what I’ve seen. Has a few flaws in his game like positioning around fb and when he’s on the wing he does jam in a few times but they’re things he can work on going forward. Excited to see how he goes.
