OFFICIAL Pathways - KOE General Discussion

34-0 down at halftime. Make no mistake, this is a different roosters side from the one we played a month ago. They belted a much stronger Manly team 58-6 last week. They would give our first grade a run for their money. Supreme athletes from 1-17. By contrast, we're a team of unconditioned midgets.

Every one has been poor but special mention to Bud, Casey and Broerderlow who has been exceptionally bad.
It does not surprise me the chickens have two NRL sides.

Exactly
We can’t blame Sullivan for signing the contract (who wouldn’t have)
The management that put this offer as well as the offers for
Klemmer
Bateman
Olam
Have a lot to explain,
I understand we have to pay overs to get players to sign with us (wooden spooners) but surely a 1 year deal should have been the go for all of the above.(Old Age)
If they showed us anything then we could have extended.
Not now stuck with them for another 2 or 3 years.
Sullivan is not even Old and he couldn’t hold down a 1st grade spot with St George but we offered him overs for 4 years
Seriously our management has been a failure for a very long time.
We desperately need Richo to hopefully change all of this around.
Same old song
This club is shit from top to bottom

Yes and no. We had no halves and were pretty desperate. NOBODY new we would sign Luai and Galvin would play so well,
It’s a tough one to judge given where we were! Easy in hindsight…
It’s the length of 4 years I’ve had an issue with.
Really as a club we should be able to help this kid be at least a decent backup to Luai, but Bud needs to also have a go and apply himself. This could be his last NRL contract. It’s a two way street, and in this situation I think both parties could do better. It’d be nice if another club came knocking and paid close to full freight.

Broderlow looked like he’s did not want to be there from the kickoff. No involvement at all .Bud was just plain awful. Miller is improving every game . There’s def a player there . Hodges played hooker. was ok but missed some key tackles . Heath mMason tried but made a lot of errors . No. 19 tacked really well . Naden at least has a go. At least 10 of today’s 17 should be released . If only it was that easy
64-6, I’m guessing there was more than a dozen that didn’t wanna be there from the kickoff.

I had to leave 20 mins before the end of the game. But what I did see was dire.

It's hard to draw any positives from a 64-6 flogging. If I was being charitable, I'd say Miller and Naden tried hard. Naden was doing most of the playmaking with Bud AWOL. Bu like the rest of the team, Naden was clueless in the redzone. Every play was a dummy haf effort, crash ball to Miller or backline sweep at half pace.

Mason and Tavana dropped a few bombs. In Tavana's defence, he would've been hesitant after being tackled mid-air twice.

Mougios, the new winger was slow and unfit. I felt sorry for him because he was clearly out of his depth.

Feledy was mostly unsighted. He didn't even look threatening close to the line as he usually does.

Casey is just an awful player. I can't stress that enough. He is only known as a defensive centre because his attack is so poor. But he also makes a lot of costly misses in defence.

Broerderlow and Tapisale have shown some promise this year but they were well off the pace today, especially Broerderlow who missed a heap of tackles. The Roosters also targeted Hodges who was poor on both sides of the ball. The number of passes from dummy half that hit the ground was frightening.

Our front row rotation of Aho, Laulilii and Sukkar were monstered by the Roosters' more physical pack. It's very concerning that Laulilii and Sukkar are in our top 30 next season. Laulilii has gone backwards at a rate of knots this year and I honestly don't know what the club sees in Sukkar. Perhaps it's his size because he hasn't done anything to deserve an NRL contract. The same could be said about Tumeth and Matamua, though at least they were star juniors.
Helps make the cleanout decisions so much easier.
Confirmed my misgivings on Mason taking bombs. Seen a few dropped last year.

A lot of it comes down to age and experience.

For example the 2 props in the Panthers NSW cup team might only have a fee first grade games but they have almost 250 reserve grade games between them whereas our front row in NSW cup has about 15 and our overall squad would be lucky to have 250 adult games between them most weeks.

We have put all our faith in youth in nrl and nsw cup and that was always going to make this year a struggle but it's a bet on the next 4 years that these players will have the experience and the power as they get older.

Will it works we will see but at least this year has a plan for the future.
ATM I have complete faith in Richo's ideas, and I believe that he feels Benji is the right bloke for Us as Coach.
We are just going to have to be prepared to have the patience while we build slowly as in the Penrith model as that's our only option and the best option anyway.

Score line was terrible. Team structure Definitely needs changes.

Sukkar was solid for his minutes played. Had a few solid hit ups with some hospital passes and in defence he rattled the Rosters big front rower and they had to take him off.

Sukkar is more of a second row edge player and very good in defence which is what was needed yesterday. The Rooster run a muck on our edges all day.

Feledy needs to be given the ball especially in the oppositions half. Every time it looked like something was on, they sent the ball the other way.

Too many missed and dropped balls from Mason and that put a lot of pressure on our forwards having to run back and get into the defensive line. Just sucks the energy out of the big boys.

I feel for Naden, he plays hard every week and because he is one of the older boys in the team he is trying to do a lot more then he should to fill the gaps and carry the team.

Broerderlow is not Ready for NSW Cup, he needs to go back to Flegg and gain more confidence. It would be good for him especially if they make the finals in Flegg.

Tapisale needs to work on his defensive work and needs to get more involved in attack.

Our wingers had no idea! They kept running in to defend creating overlaps instead of marking their man.

Our half needs to attack the opposition line straight and quickly get the ball out the back. They kept running sideways for an easy read of play by the opposition.

It will be a busy and interesting week for the coach to deconstruct the game and do his review but if we get the same line up again with same players in same positions then it will be ground hog day again next week fokes!!!

Need a new coach the one we have now is no good. Start there firstly and secondly pay Sullivan out and remove him from our club.

Were our leaders there to watch the poor performance of non Nrl players .i ask Benji what he thought of the game , I ask Richo what he thought of the game , where were you seated to watch the mess unfold , I bet neither were there , unless both were sitting around a table finalising a deal for a good Recruites I would be disappointed, watching video replays is not the answer , get there
