Seyfarth is versatile enough to play prop, lock or edge, which makes him valuable off the bench.
Fully agree but how many coaches would put up with his dumb mistakes week in and week out.

Faagatu has the potential and the problems been shown in the lower grades is not his doing, that lies in the coaching structure and system.
Do you remember was Richo appointed after all coaching staff & strength/conditioning, medical & skills specialists were on board? I think he was.

I have faith that with his football knowledge & IQ, he will know the changes that need to be made across the whole football dept. He wouldn’t want to make change during the season but I reckon we expect a number of ‘outgoings’ the week after we finish the season proper.

He reminds me of Dene Halatau.

That's what he should pursue, a career playing off the bench at lock, backrow, hooker and filling in outwide when there's an injury. Very similar size, strength and skillset to Dene and I think he could add value as a versatile bench option as one of those nuggets mobile energy players.
I didn’t think of that, but not a bad comparison at all 👍

Penrith rallied from 18-0 down to beat the Dragons 30-24 with young Panthers winger AJ Kepaoa scoring a hattrick, including a 70 metre effort in which he steamrolled Sloan.

Another one that was extremely unmotivated while he was with us.
It’s definitely an area of concern why so many players cannot get motivated to play anywhere near their best while playing for Wests Tigers.

Josh Feledy has been in our system at least 2 seasons know why has defence/tackling not improved??
Same as Adam Doueihi, don't like the physical collision, so avoid it if at all possible.
Will always be there. It's imbedded in their heads and can not be coached out IMO.

A lot of it comes down to age and experience.

For example the 2 props in the Panthers NSW cup team might only have a fee first grade games but they have almost 250 reserve grade games between them whereas our front row in NSW cup has about 15 and our overall squad would be lucky to have 250 adult games between them most weeks.

We have put all our faith in youth in nrl and nsw cup and that was always going to make this year a struggle but it's a bet on the next 4 years that these players will have the experience and the power as they get older.

Will it works we will see but at least this year has a plan for the future.

The key to building an a pro team roster is to have a mix of vets (29 and up), players in their prime (24-28), and an eye on the future (19-23). The bulk of the roster should be the 24-28 yo.

WT have really farked it up to be in the predicament it is in now. Next season, it’ll be more than 15 players in the top 30 in the developing stage of their career. Just very poor roster management.

As Flanno says, it’s difficult to learn in NRL. Developing is done in lower grades.
Jordan Grant and Austin Dias are both on Train & Trial deals at the Panthers aren’t they ?
If this is correct neither one of them are part of their top 30 and not much chance of either one of them playing NRL. They are purely signed the help develop the younger emerging players in NSW Cup,

Players such as Faagatu, Laulilli and Matamua show nothing to suggest they have the stamina or lateral movement required to play on an edge, so very different type of players.
Players are not all the same, some players always play better when playing firsts. Look average in reserves but better playing up. I say at this stage we should be blooding these players and see how they go. Miller should take priority over stefano now. Blood Miller up give him more game time, better fir next season. Porter should be nowhere near first grade again this year, he is not the future!

Porter is more than capable of filling a spot 25-30 and doing a job when required.

He has been value for money. Especially when you consider 3/4 of his teammates' outputs.

Ok, but he doesn’t help us to the destination we need. That is ti be best prepared for next year, and the best way is blooding the future. Porter is not the future, he is average at best. There is more upside in sione than him.

He will still be handy to have in K O cup and maybe fill a hole in NRL to cover injuries

I think Austin is in Manly feeder club at Blacktown

He was, at the Panthers this year.
Anyone got much info on Tino Tevana ? I know he’s had a few wraps coming through the Wests Magpies junior reps and has reportedly been going well as fullback for our Jersey Flegg team this season. What’s his main strengths as I have only seen one Flegg game early this season and he didn’t play.

No argument in the slightest, but that is a different argument.
