Our right edge backrower Elie El Zakhem has continued his good start to his Magpies career. Runs & defends strongly with some offloading skill.

Matterson is toxic to playing groups. I can see why he is playing reserves even though Parramatta lack second rowers in first grade. Remember he had a choice of taking a fine or being suspended. Chose the suspension because all he cares about is money. Wouldn't want to take the field with a guy like that.

In saying that, someone should pick him up. He is a good player. Just a bad bloke.

Didn't think much of Galvin's game. He threw a nice pass for the winger to score but, apart from that, his runners were well covered. He ran it a bit but with no real impact. His kicking was average and his defence OK but he did play the full 80 and didn't dog it. I wouldn't pick him in the NRL based on that game but, in fairness, even if Parra beat us 100 - 0 today you wouldn't pick one of today's KOE team to step up next week.

Galvin had an ok game - but did what he did this year. Poor kicking, poor last tackle options, crabbing across the field. Was not MoM by a far stretch nor did I expect that o f him. Handy back up as an all rounder as others have posted elsewhere. Off to CommBank now for the real show. Galvin who?!
