In #21 today for us is Peter Taateo. Must be a new signing from Canberra Raiders - a 22yo prop with impact, was on a development deal at Raiders with progression to top 30 next season so not sure what happened there or what deal he is on with us.

Apart from the last 15 mins of Cup, it was a real enjoyable watch of both lower grades today.

We actually looked like a well-drilled Cup team today. Luke Laulilii was an absolute star at fullback in both attack and trysaving defence as was Tallyn Da Silva. Class goes a long way in this grade.

Kurt Falls had his best game for the club and is really thriving as the main game manager for us.

Our new recruit Peter Taateo was also fantastic bringing such drive in attack & aggression and line speed in defence. Made a big difference when he was on the field. No surprise that we struggled in the guts when he went off.

All our outside backs were strong in their carries and generally our defence structured & communicated well for 65 mins. We fell apart when the Jets started to offload at will and we stood off them in defence with some poor marker defence from our middles a few times letting us down.

But forget the last 15 mins, we won and great to have both grades win well with some outstanding individual displays. Amazing what releasing Galvin has done already for the club lol

I saw an old news article from last year that he already had a Top 30 deal at Canberra ..so you think we must have to match that before too long ? I didn’t see him play yesterday …. But they might have to get him into the NRL team quick smart …

Was on a development deal in 25 with club option in 26 which it seems they wernt keen to take up or he wanted to come back to Sydney

Peter Taateo runs the ball hard and is physical when defending, I would have him replace Royce Hunt and be on our NRL bench this coming weekend.
I haven’t seen Taateo play, have you seen much of him. Big call after one reserve grade off the bench.
