Good assessment all of the above.

Our Cup & Flegg teams seemed to have turned a massive corner about 4-5 weeks ago. Maybe Richo read the riot act.

Today Kit Laulilii was a man possessed, the best game I've seen especially with his runs in NSW Cup so far. And I particularly liked a moment late in the game, Tallyn put a massive tackle on a Manly forward that forced an error, Matt Lodge ran in to shove TDS and Kit got in Lodge's face to protect his teammate.

Staines was MOM and Tu'itupou was once again massive with his runs & solid in defence too.

Charlie Murray set up a couple of tries and looked to take great confidence from his stint in the NRL. Murray, Kit, TDS & Rahme were the pick of our forwards and Taateo was also strong during his stint - good leg drive & contact in defence.

Mapapalangi showed his class in the last 10 mins putting Tuitupou away down the wing & backing up to score, then putting through a grubber for Feledy to score. He had some nice touches throughout. I agree with Rusty's mate, he'd be a very good left centre.

Falls was falls good whilst Lobb looked pretty good at fullback surprisingly, only Cup level good though.

Big game against the 2nd placed Dragons next week!!!
Hey BWG, out of interest, do you know what a player like Kurt Falls get paid?
Or a reserve grade journeyman, what are they earning a year?

Not sure @Merlot it seems a line was drawn in the sand after our losses to Penrith in both Cup & Flegg (May 9/10).

Flegg then had a coaching staff upheaval which has worked wonders. They also addressed a lack of size & physicality in the pack with Elijah Mataale, Shaq Tavita into the middle rotation & transition of Solo Saukuru to backrow.

A few things I’ve noticed in Cup in that time is Kurt Falls becoming a more dominant game manager for us, Mapapalangi moving to 5/8, both Jaxson Rahme and Tu’itupou have really upped their output & impact and Peter Taateo has signed on bringing impact & line speed in both A & D.
was impressed how composed Falls looked on the big screen last week. Tayllan was only half the man last year in Reggies as he is today ,

I think Faatape is improving and is become an extremely strong ball runner.
I know his defence is still very suspect, but I liken him to Junior Pauga who also come to us from the Q Cup at an older age and went on to becomes very valuable squad member at the Roosters after we let him go.
I think if we let Faatape go he will pick up a top 30 contract elsewhere and be a valuable back up outside back, so I would be keeping him with us a bit longer on a low tier top 30 contract.
Faatape is a keeper , stop his brain fades ,same type but seems less fragile then Toa

Hope is on a fulltime Development contract which are $80k+ plus approx $3k bonus any NRL match played. Whilst Falls contract is only NSW Cup so not fulltime training.
Yeah actually i remember reading that about Hope now you mention it. There was an article about his Minister for finance and fashion giving him the go ahead to give it one more crack or something.
So most Reggie journeyman would still be getting significantly less than your average yearly income and would still need to work. Which is why it’s so important for them to at least land a Dev or T&T or something so they can at least train full time.

whats the wages for a T&T

just needs some time , I've always stood by Toa , very very glad he stood up and played out the game a few weeks ago, with his sore neck, Team needs to harden up, they have everything but it's just not there yet
Yeah I agree with that, feels like a mozzie bite would have some blokes stretchered off these days, especially if it meant a penalty.
I don’t mind Faataape either, not bad backup, can find the line, but his D is atrocious, and he’s not the biggest. Even at his best I can only see him as backup, where Star at his best can slay the best.

T & t have a chance to be sacked or leave either iether , is that right ?

Hi BWG . love your intel , thanks. In your mind what's caused the influx of lower grades winning of late. .4me ,nothing sinks in if its not printed on paper. Change of coach , kids stepping up, kids stepping down. Richo basically said when he got here, 1st up, all grades needed to be fixed. SG or Flegg players in their slot instead of 1sts has to be good. Team culture under Richo / Benji starting to bed in ?. Interested in your thoughts /or anybody else's . Callaway just left the building ,is it as simple as changing him out ?. time line fits
I think Galvin is a cuck and now he's gone everyone can be themselves without fear of being accused of bullying.
