Yes after a strong effort last week I was expecting a lot more from him today.
Viliami Fifita is off contract at the end of this season, his size,mobility and strong ball running would make him a handy pick for us.

I'd say that TDS has played his last game for the club. Benji has decided to resign Api and make Haywood his successor. It's hard to say at this stage, but I reckon TDS will turn our to be a better player than Haywood. At the very least, TDS is already first grade standard whereas Heywood is no guarantee of making it.

100%, massive ego based decisions from bunji. Api has backed the bunji way so Biko backs him. But anyone can see that dpi is a 60 minute player and has been for some time. Played the same way for the pamfers!
I hear Richo wanted Tallyn l, Bunji seemed to win again.
I think we could have had both with smart player management. At worst we could have offered him a lone out if he was desperate to play before api leaves. Like harry did.
Just don’t understand

Don’t agree this is all down to bunji shite management. We bought him as a battering ram. To come on for 20 minutes a game, 10 either side of halftime. But the dumb ass bunji decided to start him, then drops him because he’s not up to it. We whet winning games with this formula with Tallyn taking advantage of the bulldozing runs. That’s where he excels go back to that formula, we will start winning again.
But again bunji’s ego won’t allow it!!

As you would be aware I’m well and truly with you in believing Benji’s ego is a big problem and there is no doubt he’s barking up the wrong tree if wanting to use Hunt in any other role other than an impact player for approximately 20mins per game, but we can’t blame Benji for Hunt’s lack of fitness issues.
 
Big day of work so only watched this on delay and haven't read any posts above yet. Just going to do some random notes. I said this week that this game against top opposition would tell a big story on which of our players are up for it ...

- We were dominated in the first 25 mins. Our middles led by Hunt & Kit were comprehensively outmuscled by Lawrie & Guler.

- Become a thing by our open teams (NRL & Cup) this season to be slow out of the blocks, dominated up the middle.

- Dragons exposed Faataape's edge in the 1st half with their powerful players on that side.

- We got back into the grind well when Rahme, Taateo & Porter were our middles.

- We did well to get right back into the game & dominated most of the 2nd half thanks to our middles, some smart play from Tristan Hope & direction of Falls.

- Didn't capitalise as much as we should have with the red zone possession. Like NRL, our red zone attacking structures are predictable & rarely put defenders in two minds.

- The turning point ... after scoring to be only behind by 2 points (18-20) with 17 mins to go, Lobb throws a hospital pass off the kickoff to Rahme about shin height who knocks it on, Dragons hooker scoops up, runs 10m to score.

- Tuitupou was huge once again on the left wing with his carries probably our best player. If Skelton has any more poor games in the NRL, Tuitupou or Luke L are putting the pressure right on.

- Taateo put his hand up today with some strong runs with good leg drive. I just worry he's maybe 5kg too small to be that powerful middle in NRL but he's only 22 I suppose.

- Rahme continued his strong form of late on both sides of the ball, Mr consistent in the middle.

- Murray put in his usual strong busy effort. Mapapalangi was ok, just think centre is more his position.

- Kit Laulilii I thought was disappointing and today showed he's still another season away from NRL to work on his defensive deficiencies & commanding the ball in attack like Taateo does. Today also showed Hunt is not a starter even at NSW Cup level, no dominance on either side of the ball & gets gassed when on the back foot quickly.

- Sukkar was strong on the left edge and scored off a nice crash play from Hope.

- Faataape, Feledy & Lobb are rocks'n diamonds. mainly rocks & I would not offer these guys any contract moving forward. They will be good NSW Cup players for another club I'm sorry.

- Most of this team are NSW Cup quality at best, the players who stood up today to suggest they are NRL capable were ... Tuitupou, Staines, Rahme, Taateo & Sukkar with Murray, Hope & Mapapalangi fringe candidates & Kit has age & development on his side.

- Jonah Glover for the Dragons looks a confident young player and aside from missing Sukkar for his try looked slick in both A & D.

Must be something brewing in the background as any previous player of ours as 18th man or non-playing reserve would play Cup the next day (Sukkar played as 18th man). Very telling imo.
 
Questions need to be asked about our predictable red zone attack structures. They are the same in NSW Cup as NRL and offer VERY LITTLE. The defence shuts us down time and time again and we put very little doubt in any defenders mind.

Doing something over and over again expecting a different result is insanity isn't it!

Great summation.

Tu'itupou has been our most consistent performer across the last 10 weeks. When St George were dominating in the first 25 mins and our middles went missing, he was the only one making yardage. For a big guy, he has a good work ethic, often making a couple of hit ups a set.

Falls and Hope also deserve a shout out. With Mapapalangi MIA and Lobb possessing no playmaking ability, our attack squarely rested on their shoulders. It wasn't pretty for the most part, though they managed an assist each.

Taateo was 100 times more willing than the two starters but didn't bend the line this week.

I was expecting more from Sukkar. After Seyfarth's putrid performance last night, Sukkar could've made a case to replace Seyfarth in the starting side but he was largely invisible.

Agree re Mapapalangi. I think he’s somewhat wasted at 5/8. It would be great to see him at left centre for a few rounds before Taylan comes in. He’s certainly showing he’s got very good backline utility value.

We got to see Taateo against some NRL quality middles and he certainly aimed up. Yeah he didn’t bend the line as much as previous weeks, just think he’s about 5kg under what could be quite impactful at NRL level.
