Great summation.

Tu'itupou has been our most consistent performer across the last 10 weeks. When St George were dominating in the first 25 mins and our middles went missing, he was the only one making yardage. For a big guy, he has a good work ethic, often making a couple of hit ups a set.

Falls and Hope also deserve a shout out. With Mapapalangi MIA and Lobb possessing no playmaking ability, our attack squarely rested on their shoulders. It wasn't pretty for the most part, though they managed an assist each.

Taateo was 100 times more willing than the two starters but didn't bend the line this week.

I was expecting more from Sukkar. After Seyfarth's putrid performance last night, Sukkar could've made a case to replace Seyfarth in the starting side but he was largely invisible.
Thanks Ted.

Agree re Mapapalangi. I think he’s somewhat wasted at 5/8. It would be great to see him at left centre for a few rounds before Taylan comes in. He’s certainly showing he’s got very good backline utility value.

We got to see Taateo against some NRL quality middles and he certainly aimed up. Yeah he didn’t bend the line as much as previous weeks, just think he’s about 5kg under what could be quite impactful at NRL level.

Royce Hunt - 21 mins, 1 run 7 meters, 10 tackles-'6 missed, 1 error and 1 ruck infringement. Possibly the worst game a prop in nsw cup has ever played
Like too many players before him, he looks totally unmotivated, happy to play NSW Cup, virtually do nothing and get paid very well for it.
I know sometimes when a player gets this attitude it’s very hard to change their mindset, but as I’ve raised quite a few times, this happens at an alarming rate at our club.
I’ve had a bit of intel telling me that when Benji goes off a player the communication is virtually non existent.
The extremely strong willed will find a way to break down the barriers and earn back his trust and respect through their actions on game days and training but I can see why many would struggle in this scenario.

Disagree with your comment about Sukkar. His defence again was very solid on his edge and also did a lot to support in the middle while Hunt was on. When they did use him in attach he looked dangerous and scored a try. Definitely NRL ready and should be used as a minimum off the bench or starting. He works really well with May in defence when they’re on the field together! - Penrith, Souths game example.

Rhame looked solid but poor pass to him that he dropped changed the game.

Tu’itupou again played well and can be a back up for NRL - I think Benji can take that risk as he has been consistent.

It’s clear he is either playing busted if that’s the case give him time off or he has totally switched off in that case Richo needs to get him off the books for next season.

Those who struggle with that need to grow some....and understand what THEY need to do to get back

Jeez if he can’t find the motivation to play a professional sport good luck in the real world
I think as supporters we were all happy to sign a big wrecking ball type prop that we were missing from our pack but what a disappointment he has turned out to be now overweight and unmotivated.

Benji should react the way Bellyache would and send him out to a brickie's labourer job over the summer, give him a taste of the real world maybe that could jolt his motivation back on the right path.

Why was there the excitement though?
I was baffled that people believed this lazy turd would perform here.
It was a terible recruitment decision and that has been proven so very quickly.
We let Klemmer go early for this bum.

Letting Klemmer go even right now makes zero sense. Not as though we are using his cap or roster space this year and next season even if we activated his clause we are a prop short in the rotation.

I'm still happy we let Klemmer go. I don't see any value with him and he and Tamou are two of my least favourite players of the past. I just really hate that passive, indifferent play. We have Twal, that's enough.

We definitely erred with Hunt, though. Horrific stats, what a liability.

One of our biggest complaints this year is how badly our talent falls away after the top 20 players. Our depth sucks. The only reason we arent dead last is because we have been very lucky on the injury front to key personel.
I posted some stats a month back. Klem is still returning reasonable numbers...far exceeding Royces...and his team isnt playing well either. At the very least, he was a dependable squaddie that could fill in as a starter when required and do a role from the bench.
