We really need to recruit backs if Sol and Mason are playing there. Skelton, Will, Luke, Sol, Mason, all off contract past this year. Star not reliable for week to week. Warbrick and Lomax were readily available.

Solo could actually become a very good modern day winger if that is the plan. He is fast enough, good out of yardage, makes pretty good defensive decisions & reads, can finish and is good in the air. It's just he offers some very good ball skills in the back row & even centre. We really need to recruit backs if Sol and Mason are playing there. Don’t think realistically the club plans to keep him past this year. Too hard basket. But I agree with youSolo could actually become a very good modern day winger if that is the plan. I don't think we can cull too many OBs. Luke L is already going, 99.9% Will Craig is gone and Jeral is unsigned. Potentially decisions to be made between Solo, Tavana & Max Taotua.Don’t think realistically the club plans to keep him past this year. Too hard basket. But I agree with you
Logan Brookes is probably another under consideration.I don't think we can cull too many OBs. Luke L is already going, 99.9% Will Craig is gone and Jeral is unsigned. Potentially decisions to be made between Solo, Tavana & Max Taotua.
If Solo ever become dedicated, he will play First Grade.Solo could actually become a very good modern day winger if that is the plan. Saukuru has good skill as well as being a big, strong and powerful ball runner. It's disappointing to see Saukuru out not position. He should be on the bench and coming on for 30 mins of devastation running the ball.
He's the only back rower at the club capable of regularly breaking the defensive line. Yet we want to persist with Sukkar and broderlow who are props.
Feel sorry for the kid to be mismanaged like this.
Also Mason totally out of position again is sad. He should be 14 and coming on as an impact hooker/lock
Yep your last line. The coaches & high performance have a plan for these guys. Keen to see how it progresses. Maybe Saukuru becomes a tallish powerful back-up wing option with good aerial skills. Maybe Mason becomes a true utility who can cover every position bar backrow, prop & wing. Let's see.Saukuru has good skill as well as being a big, strong and powerful ball runner.
I assume they want to see if he can be another big bodied wing option, but I agree with you I think he is wasted as a winger.
I’m a fan of Heath Mason and I really hope he puts it all together whatever position he plays, but he showed really good signs in his short stint at 13 in the trials, not sure why we are now going away from that plan.
I like the idea of Mason coming on at 9 and Luke Jack coming on at 13 in NSW Cup with their high energy style of play.
I really think Sukkar and Broederlow have good potential as props, not as confident about them when playing on an edge.
Let’s see how it all develops and hopefully the coach knows better.
The Tautoa brothers are guns . Obviously they’re going to be playing left this year . I think it’s a good thing . Let kids develop naturally now , rather than weakening youth teams because we promised the world to 17 year olds . Will Craig is another 1 .We really need to recruit backs if Sol and Mason are playing there. Skelton, Will, Luke, Sol, Mason, all off contract past this year. Star not reliable for week to week. The Taotua twins are being developed a good way. Excelled in Flegg last season as bottom agers particularly Max. Both given progressive contracts this season, Max an NRL T&T and Mitch a Cup contract. Both trialed impressively in Cup trials and given a taste of an NRL trial and didn't look out of place. Both starting the season in Flegg due to lack of injuries in the entire squad and being 20/21. Will get their chance in Cup at some point if their form holds. Both have the physical and athletic attributes and footy skills to progress further. Just hope they do mentally. The Tautoa brothers are guns . Obviously they’re going to be playing left this year . I think it’s a good thing .
