It could've been 80. Wests kicked 8/13 and went close to scoring at least 3 more tries.

It was sweet payback after the Roosters put 60 on Wests at Lidcombe a couple of years ago.

Like in the Dolphins v Roosters first grade game, the commentator was at pains to mention at kick off that the Roosters were depleted, but they still had their starting pack and their only notable omissions in the backs were Foley, Talau and Rodwell. Quietly, we were also missing 5+ players, including Herbert, Afoa, Sukkar, Lanyon and Murray, but don't let that detract from the Roosters pity-fest.

Watched on Bar Tv before heading to Leichardt. Javon Andrews moving to half had him touching the ball significantly more than what he does at 5/8. i thought it made a big difference to the Magpies attack. He is a seriously good player with that attribute that all the good halves have and that is time with ball in hand. He was really making the players around him look good. Particularly in the first half.

he leads the entire league in try assists and line break assists at 19 kinda insane

I reckon we should be dropping Latu back to partner him at five eighth. Hello 2028 starting halves.

Magpies gotta be a fair cha ce of winning the next three with a bye in between....8 points up the ladder would be nice and a possible semis spot in sight
Wonder what that would be like
- how long has it been we made semis in any grade?

I have a feeling 20’s made week 1 around 17/18 maybe?

Exciting to see Solomone Saukuru get some games at left centre now. He must be getting close to an NRL debut pending further outside back injuries.

With his size, athleticism, decent speed, versatility and another to come through our pathways, Saukuru would be ideal as a minimum contract extension for another couple of seasons to help balance out our cap.

I think we have one of the best forward packs in NSW Cup atm.

If he keeps performing like he has been & we continue to have backrow injury issues, Mitch Taotua could be an NRL smokey before the end of the season. I have big wraps on him and like Josese has not benefited from a full NRL pre-season yet so has huge upside.

Luke Jack back to the middle this week where he is better suited.

Vaka Aho has been doing everything right too as a well-rounded prop with a big tank. Interesting that Peter Taateo has jumped him in the NRL pecking order.

All I can think is that Taateo is better as a momentum changer with his fast leg speed & impact. Aho is better defensively.

I want to see how Taateo performs in defence when we are on the back foot before giving him too much praise. A couple of putrid defensive performances for the Magpies late last season have stuck in my mind especially lateral & behind the ruck.
