I feel strange. I agree with Hooper. Paul Green is not the right coach for Wests Tigers.

He's said some good things tonight. Going to get a medical tomorrow. Agreeing with him a lot tonight.

On fire aye.

Maybe he should be the CEO

I must be in the ultra ultra minority because I'd be happy with Flanno.
He still denies he knew about the peptides but let's just assume he did. He's paid his penalty, he's a bloody good coach and his players all supported him.
Don't we give people a second chance?

Morals aside, he's the best coach available. He's better than Madge.

Ciraldo?

Flanagan literally transformed the Sharks into a top 4 team. They were a very tough team to beat under him.

So what does Green bring that's the question?
Sure he has won a premership but he also had a great Roster.
He really did not do well at SOO level either he sounds like another Madge living on a premership reputation.

I have heard 1st hand he is arrogant to others outside his own circle and full of his own self importance.

Does the Club have to pay out Madge's contract?

If they appoint him doubt i will be supporting the WT in future as i would rather see someone like Morris given a shot or similar credentials being a long term assistant.

Would be a huge mistake to bail on Madge for this pretender.

Hope they're smarter than that.

Have I upset the matrix or something? ?

Yep all over now. Green to Tigers confirmed.

But wait, there's more! He's bringing Curtis Rona wirth him.

Supporting them? I know how you feel.

I have parted with more than $30K over the last 15+ years as a member and I have just emailed WT membership to tell them I won't be renewing membership if Maguire is removed and Green is appointed.

I went to the game on Sunday and saw there lack of effort, nil talk and Madge making wrong selections again in key positions.

Although i think Madge gives 110% he is not the Coach to take us forward and really never has been.
His 1st priority was to Sign brooks to another long term deal.

In reality we don's have leaders in the team that was evident on Sunday, Change needs to come from the Top at a board level then work down its the only way the players know the club is serious, a big clean out not just the coach.

We can never compete with the Roosters, Storm etc… by trying to copy what they do. We need an ‘out of the box’ approach. The Wests Tigers identity at its best has been ‘no matter how many you score, we will score more’. Why not embrace this 100% and employ the Walker brothers. Madge’s old school focus on defence has backfired… bring back the fun and entertainment. What the Walkers have achieved on a shoestring budget has been awesome. Imagine what they could do with our Salary Cap in a strong position and the Centre of Excellence. While we are at it we could employ Benji as the assistant coach to train up the young ones in entertaining footy. [We may even snag a new halfback😎 ]

Didn't Sheen's drop green for prince. Then the cowboys sacked him for talking to other clubs?

I know you want him gone too but imo Madge is 10x more of a threat to player safety than Flanagan.

I do subscribe to the theory that he knew about the drug program but do you really think there is any chance at all he would start it again here when every single person/player in rugby league knows about what happened? I agree player safety is a huge factor but I just struggle to think of any scenario at all where he’d even contemplate doing anything along those lines again.

Honest question.

I doubt he'd do it again.

So player safety aside, he's the best coach available. He's better than Madge.

Haha all of the panel on 360 tonight said some good things, very concerning for sure.

Can't see the WT gambling on Green, he's had a real fall from grace over the past couple of years. My preference would be for Ciraldo, I think the defensive structures he's put in place at the Panthers have clearly worked over the past couple of years and from what I've heard he has good rapport with the players.

I don't like how things transpired at the Sharks, but I've got no doubt Flanagan could get more out of our mob than Madge, and I'm pretty confident we would play with some type of structure and shape in attack and defence. Above all else, we need fresh assistant coaches to come in with the new coach.

The only coaching staff I'd be keeping is the KOE coach and Wayne Lambkin from Flegg.

I keep saying surely the board couldn’t be that stupid but then remember who our board and club is.

Greens last 2 years at the cowboys and one season of coaching the maroons where he’s practically the worst coach they’ve ever had, should be evidence enough not to sign him. To further relay what James hooper said, swapping Madge for Green is basically like for like.
