Our true power is only going to come from pathways and holding onto talent. This stretches back to JT. If he was never given the reins and we were the club we are now, then maybe we would still have Tapau, JAC, Ted, Moses etc. It takes time to bring back top-tier talent like that when you're not winning.

It seems like that pathway was disregarded for a while and is now only being built back up. I point my finger to Pascoe for that. It's unacceptable that it was left to flounder.

That's where the accountability needs to sit. Not madge who is making every attempt to take a long-term focus.

He's certainly not without criticism. But he's the only proven commodity at our club. He can win with the right roster. Most of our players and CEO do not have that to fall back on.

The players most responsible for the continued poor attitude and culture of this club are not on Maguire . He is just stupid enough to think he can coach them be better than who they actually are.

Maguire can coach players who are already bought in and professional.

He might suck at rebuilding and changing culture but its not his fault some of our most senior players go to water in the face of adversity. Thats on those players and they need to be moved on.

You can’t sign what’s not available at the time or choose to go elsewhere. People seem to say Madge can’t attract players but if he was coach of the dogs broncos knights Sharks I would be pretty certain they wouldn’t have that opinion as the mantra is on the club imo.
With all players he re-signed I can’t think of one where the forum was up in arms against.
It’s unfortunate that players can’t be professional enough to put their best on the paddock every game. If they need a coach for mental toughness that’s on them imo

due to Cleary and his ex mate Pascoe, Madge has been playing moneyball, only some of the signings would have been made if he had more cap to play with. BJ is the glaring error of judgement.
