Kent is a grub who doesn't respect Rugby League Players…. He has always been a headline grabber.
There is nothing wrong with Brisbane doing what they are doing... They just Interpret the Salary Cap Rules better than any other Club.
The only un-even playing field is the difference between Administrators. Some clubs employ smart ones, and some clubs employ peanuts??!!!

If I was the NRL I'd be looking at Brisbane's books closely.
Lockyer, Wallace, Hodges, Hannant, Thaiday .. now Inglis? I seriously reckon each of those players would be on/worth minimum $300,000 a year. Then guys like Parker would be on some decent coin too.
While I didn't like the way Kent went about it … I can see why he's questioning the issue

The thoroughbred's have been up to no good as far as Broncos players go for ages. Obviously the way they do it they are not going to get caught because unlike the storm there will never be any evidence.
It was pretty much admitted in court.

THE NRL is poised to widen its investigation into a second club over possible salary cap breaches after it emerged in a Brisbane court yesterday that mining magnate Ken Talbot regularly gave or lent money to Broncos players.
In what could be a busy week for Ian Schubert, the salary cap auditor is also expected to visit Parramatta tomorrow to investigate claims that players' contracts could have been topped up with property investment deals.
Talbot's alleged generosity was exposed in Brisbane District Court yesterday where his close friend and business partner Don Nissen was giving evidence at the corruption trial of ex-Labor minister Gordon Nuttall.
Nissen described Talbot as a "committed fan" of the Brisbane Broncos and said he had given money to some of players who were regulars at his hotels.
A long-time member of the Thoroughbreds - a group of wealthy businessmen supporting and advising Broncos players - Talbot came to prominence when it was revealed he was paying former coach Wayne Bennett $100,000 a year over a 10-year period as part of a fund set up to assist the former Brisbane-turned-St George Illawarra coach's two disabled children.
While there had been speculation that players had been involved in such dealings, Nissen's testimony in District Court yesterday was the first time it has been confirmed.
"We are interested in payments to players from clubs and those related to clubs," NRL chief executive David Gallop said.
"We will be making inquiries with the Broncos over the next few days."
It is believed the period during which it is alleged to have occurred predates Bruno Cullen's appointment as Broncos managing director, replacing Shane Edwards. Edwards left to take up an appointment as chief executive of Talbot Hotel Group and now oversees Talbot's entire group holdings.
Still, given the NRL has the power to punish clubs retrospectively for salary cap breaches, Cullen said it was in his best interests and the interests of the club to get to the bottom of the matter sooner rather than later.
"I think I will be proactive with it rather than wait for the calls to start coming," Cullen said.
"I need to contact Don. Obviously he has sworn on a stack of Bibles that these payments were made. To whom and how much money was involved and what the money was paid for, I simply don't know at this stage, but I certainly intend to find out."
Broncos skipper Darren Lockyer denied receiving or knowing of any payments from Talbot to anyone other than Bennett: "I certainly haven't received any payment and I don't know of any players who have. Outside of that I can't really make any comment on the matter."
Newly appointed Parramatta chairman Roy Spagnolo is under scrutiny after admitting he and property developer friend, Vince Lombardo, had encouraged former players to buy land that they later sold for a huge profit in an attempt to keep them at the club.
The deals could be a potential breach of the NRL's salary cap if it is proven that they were included to top up a player's contract without being disclosed to the league.
"We expect some meetings to take place between the salary cap auditor and Parramatta during the week," Gallop said. "It is good to see that the club is offering its full co-operation in a review of the issues."
However, The Australian was told yesterday that Spagnolo's accountancy firm handled the interests of several players and regularly provides financial advice - which is no different to any other NRL player who has an accountant. Schubert is tipped to visit the club tomorrow amid speculation that former St George and Canberra forward Paul Osborne will be appointed to the chief executive's position before the end of the week.
Spagnolo again declined to talk to The Australian yesterday but issued a statement via the club.
"The Parramatta NRL club is committed to working with the NRL in relation to any alleged salary cap breaches recently reported," the statement said.
"The club is an open and transparent organisation and is happy to meet with the NRL to discuss the matter. The club is adamant that no breach took place, however it will assist in ensuring this matter is investigated thoroughly."
Spagnolo also denied allegations yesterday that he had threatened to "bury" former Parramatta chief executive Denis Fitzgerald during a heated exchange after the Eels lost to Penrith at CUA Stadium on Sunday. The two were on opposing sides during the recent football and leagues clubs elections.
Fitzgerald has already made a complaint to police and was interviewed at Gladesville station yesterday.
It was pretty much admitted in court.

Knowing Q's,they would spit the dummy and make their own comp as they felt they were being mistreated by the demons from south of the border.
It would be a super comp,absent of rubbish Sydney teams like the Tigers,and would be like playing a semi every weekend with uber teams like Perth,the Hunter and Adelaide.
Ohhhhhh hang on…...... :laughing:

The biggest thing is.. the Broncos may well be doing things legally.. but they have just about unlimited corporate support because they are the only one-city-club in the comp ( melbourne doesn't count because its not a league city & the warriors are in a union dominated city).
They are so far in front of all other clubs even the one-town-teams, such as Cowboys, Titans, Knights, Raiders… & then come the sydney clubs fighting each other for the scraps..
What it comes down to is that the Broncos should never have been given that 10 year assurance that no other team would be located in brisbane when the super-league war ended ( and I think might well have been extended by 5 years).
There should be at least another 2 teams in Brisbane, they have so many juniors that this could well be supported.
Broncos have had it cosy for far too long & are probably the richest club going around these days & need to have competition for they're market share.
