Performance of Kiwi Halves - Kick up the backside for Benji?

Do you think the performance of Kieran Foran and Shaun Johnson in the test match will be the kick up the backside which Benji needs? The pairing played very well together, and probably played better than if Benji were there. Their performance has most likely ousted Benji as a shoe-in for the World Cup.

My question is:
Will this performance result in a more committed, effort-inputting Benji Marshall?

If benji needed to see Johnson and Foran doing OK in the halves before stepping things up….he is in trouble.

Yes their 20 point loss means there's no way benji will ever be able to fight his way back into the team.

I don't think it was as clears you think… Foran played his true position, and Johnston was average. Add to the fact they lost it really means changes need to happen.

I was however impressed with Foran playing his natural game. He is a good choice at 5/8 for the Kiwis and it suits there style.

Maybe Marshall to 7?

Given that his running game has disappeared and he's become more of a distributer, 7 probably is the best choice for him in the kiwis side.

Foran was good,5/8 is his position. He is certainly no liability in defence ,as we all know Benji can be.

We all know what Benji can do unfortunately he has not played well and knows he has to improve , we can all see Robby is killing it due to some changes in our forwards which is working for us unfortunately our backs are yet to fire but it will come and when it does we will be hard to stop.

couldn't find it, but thanks willow. Pretty interesting, hopefully it drives him to bounce back HARD and dominate upon return vs the dogs i think.

If I had a choice between Foran & marshall….we'd be seeing a new playing in a wests jumper

Booooooooo's loudly.

Bunji all the way to the bank.

I hear there is a spot on the hill at Brooky for ya with a granny chair and a thermos full of hot dogs.

Had NZ won and the Kiwi halves dominated, then Benji would be worried.
The only thing that would make Benji really stand up and take notice and put the rest of the squad on notice is if Potter makes him return from injury through the NSW cup.
