Public pressure is the only avenue that the fan base have as there is no mechanism in the corporate structure of the club to make any real and meaningful change to save the club unless it’s facilitated by Wests Ashfield. If there’s a better way to do it then I’m all ears.

The point of a petition is to give people a voice who feel they have no power to effect change in relation to some thing that is important to them.
If people are not aware of the petition they have no opportunity to contribute, and if they don't agree with it then they won't sign.
If the media make more people aware of it then more people will have an option to support it, or not.

Yes

Dennis Burgess cops a lot of flak (including from me) because let's face it he looks like a bit of a freak, but he's a long time Magpie fan, who unlike the rest of the board turns up to Magpies games. He's also a good bloke according to all who've met him.

Why don't we have a right to discuss our failing club with the media? Our failing club discusses its fans and the inner workings of the club with the media on a daily basis.
