Petition to have Benji dropped for next week

Benjis defence is diabolical. It’s as simple as that. And because we have a few next to each other ie. Mikalele , garner benji , Joey It’s Christmas down the left . But the guy is a legend and it sux to talk Ill of the man . I hope he has a job fir life , with us in some capacity. There was a play in the second half where he got torched on the outside and just barely made the tackle . There was nothing on , up until there was . In today’s game more so than any other period in history, defence , is infinitely more important than attack. I wish the amazement I see when he has the ball , wasn’t negated by the defence . But it unfortunately is .
But the man is a legend . And I will be sad that next week has come. But Father Time is undefeated !

Can we petition that Packer before he gets his 24 Rd suspension kicks Matterson and Moses in the goolies repeatedly

Thus proving Packer has a better kicking game than Brooks

I agree it is sad to see what he is now and i really dont want to crucify him but he is very much on the negative side of the equation for us now.Benji i implore you retire gracefully

He's gone who cares! Jeez I'll enjoy his last game our most iconic player. He is gone. He isn't there next year. Love him so much 💙💙💙

Can't wait to see how Walters, Reynolds or Mbye will turn us into a premiership team next year according to the posts who said Benji are holding them back. Exciting stuff!!

1st try we had given them a 7tackle set because his kick went out on the full.
2nd try be collapsed the defence to cause an overlap. Third try he threw an intercept when the pass was never on. We were 16 - 0 down after 15 mins with three mistakes from benji...
Put a fork in him...

You are being ridiculous nobody is saying any of those players will turn us into threatening for the premiership but all Benji will deliver is more rocks. We need better in most areas on the field than what some players are delivering. You can only move on players who are off contact,Benji is 36 and off contract and will only deteriorate further,we need better on our roster

There is no way you drop him for next week. I think he has at least earned a farewell, even if it may be overdue.

I can see him finishing his career ala Hayne. Spent so long waiting for a contract that never came, that he never officially retired, just disappeared. I wouldn’t be surprised if he was that delusional that still he’s training once next season starts in the hope one club is desperate enough.

I do agree Benji and Rowdy should play next week, give them a real WTs send off,I dont want them here next year, they have done plenty for us and rugby league ....but the time has come to hang up the boots...
Tonight just proves what I have been saying for all this season,Benj is past it ..the example Im going to give you why he shouldnt be here next year is...Our young guys went out there and you could see they wanted it tonight,however,5/7 minutes in Benji kicks one of his all in kicks and gives Melb a 7 tackle set and put our boys on the back foot from that play..dumb ...he should have kept Melb under pressure with a kick that was placed far better than it was...

Look its not going to happen, he'll get his game next week, finish his career and sail off into the sunset. I adored Benji 2003-2011, but this is a different game and he is not a different player and his tricks haven't changed and his style doesn't suit the modern game or our team. Its not just his defence, or lack there of, that puts us on the back foot, by the way did anyone see how many hospital passes he did tonight, but its his inability to build field position and pressure and try to make every play a highlight moment that really prevents us form being a top 8 side. That and the fact that Ivan ruined or salary cap until the end of next year.
Love ya Benji, but its time to go. Actually a quick "tin foil hat moment", did anyone else notice the coincidence in the timing between Benji being told he wasn't being signed and the leaking of the players meeting (eggshells), the rumours of Madge loosing the player confidence and the media giving us an absolute hiding. Just a though, its struck me as odd, what do you blokes reckon? or is it just me?

When people say they don’t want to re-sign Benji that’s not what they mean at all. Seriously, all signing Benji for one more year does is just stall our development.

I literally argued this point with some random on Facebook and I said what would you rather, sign a player like Burton for 3-4 years or keep Benji for 1 year which achieves literally nothing.

He of course said he’d rather sign Benji because “he’s a legend and deserves a proper send off”

People were saying the exact same thing with Farah last year “sign him for 1 more year” “Liddle is injury prone” etc etc

Well we ended up with Grant who no tigers fan had even heard of this time last year

I think it more a conspiracy theory. If the Tigers suspected this I am not sure whether a post on-field role would be discussed.

We need to remember, this is a team which has convinced the board to sack a few coaches. Lol yes I know the very thought of having such a weak minded board is laughable. We may not have liked previous coaches, but we do know one thing they have in common. They all wanted wins. They were all sacked because they didn’t get enough of them.

A few people have bought that up and i am inclined to believe it is people close to Benji rather than Benji who have been stirring the pot and leaking. His manager would be prime suspect

I don't want to re-sign him either but it's done. So getting worked up of him seems a bit too much. He isn't the only reason we weren't a contender this year. He is having his last game. Petition to drop him for one game?

I'll be watching and hope he has a cracker in his last game. I remember firmly the best sporting memories he gave me. I'll be emotional. I don't mind if he has a shocker, since he is leaving. Love him. ?

It’ll be a good send off next week for our two legends. Good chance we can beat eels too I reckon which would be amazing.
