Pettybourne leading the team out

This is amuch bigger issue than people are mentioning…

This a proud club with over 100 years of combined history. **Captains lead this club onto the field...200 game clubmen lead this team onto the field....retiring veterans lead this club into the field IT IS A RARE HONOUR..**

Pettybourne has started about three games for us and been crap...yet he led the team out. Why? Because it was against his old club. That is pathetic..If every reserve grade level player who joins us gets to lead the team out just because it is his old club then we are a joke. Will Bodene Thompson lead us out the Titans?

Lets have Adam Blair lead us out against the Storm. That will show how much pride we have left.

Absolutely disgraceful decision...and, if it was Potter's way of motivating him it failed miserably as the bloke hardly even tried and had a shocker.

I would almost sack whoever made the decision. This is a great footy club. Leading them out is something you earn.
 
I believe it was his 100th game or something like that I hope that was his last game in a Tigers jersey he is a disgrace up there with Blair

Really? He has played three for us. No way should he have led them out.

100 games for us, okay.

But not for a reject from another club. He is not even a first grade standard player. That should be an honour for OUR clubmen.
 
Can you imagine Manchester United letting some reserve level player they signed from Norwich lead them onto Old Trafford because it is his 100th game? No freaking way that happens. Why? Because it is a rare honour.

Have some pride in the place.

Could you be a bigger douche? Remind me again what number you played when you ran out in 1st grade?

Rabs didn't know who Pettybourne was, let alone why he was leading the team out

He plays for us?

Mate, he gets paid by us and that's about it. He doesn't try and is crap. When we eventually cut him….and pay out his full contract...he will go back to Souths to hang out with his mates, have a laugh about getting easy money and go back to playing state cup for them with the odd fill in off the bench, mark my words. Yep, that is the type of bloke who deserved to lead out this footy club. Kids dream of that honour. You earn it.

What an average player who has played 5 or 6 games for us doing leading us onto the field. I couldn't give a stuff if it was his 300th game.

Hes a rubbish player he should not be leading the side out under any circumstances.

let him run out first for his 100th game.
i'm sure Robbie had bigger concerns.

And I am not 'digging'.

Leading our team out should be an on honour. If 100 games was such a big deal, why did souths cut a local junior after 94 games for them?

He is a garbage player…has barely put in all season.

And he leads us out?

He then didnt even bother trying in the game and celebrated afterwards with the Souths players.

I dont see how people can just dismiss it as nothing. Where is the freaking pride in the jersey? No wonder we are a laughing stock.

If he played 100 for us…yes, absolutely.

But 94 of those games were with souths. If 100 is such a big deal, why did souths cut him.
 
At least after a terrible week for the club, I was able to find this thread and have a good laugh.
 
I'm surprised they haven't come out with a "Benji and Robbie are fighting" like they do every other time we're playing crap.
 
Jesus christ he plays for our club now and if we wanna try and foster any sort of positive club and tight knit culture within the joint then sharing in our players milestones, and celebrating them is exactly what we should be doing

Some of you really have no idea whatsoever
