Phil Goulds Comments about the Tigers

first ten minutes we looked good.
if our attack is like that all year i'll be happy.
obviously, its not our attack thats the concern.

It just seems our attack is based on set moves and being flat footed these days where before it was speed and flamboyance!

We were always a small team BUT we had speed to burn WE dont have that so we have nothing that is the difference the last couple of years

so was i , brilliant memories … the day will come again don't worry about that.

Gould may have a point but the next couple of weeks will be crucial to the success, or lack thereof, of the Tigers in 2013\. We need to get some momentum to build the teams confidence. With the Eagles and Storm in round four and five we need to have our $h!# together otherwise we might end up with no competition points after round 5 and a long year ahead.

What we are really missing is a active, fast, attacking Fullback like Slater. How many games has he changed the swing or won games for the Storm? He's always around the dummy half area, directing players. Hodgo sort of filled that spot for us, then he left. I'd like to see Tedessco be like slater, which I think he can be.Fullbakcs make a hug difference to a team and how it plays. Something to think about.

One would think we won't be that bad this week, but we had an alarming slide towards the end of last season when we had everything to play for and didn't turn up, and it looked to be more of the same on Monday night despite having an apparent tougher, no-nonsense pre-season. I hope Potter fixes the backrow soon, we won't chalk up too many victories with a backrow pairing that each weigh less than 100kg. Our forward pack needs more grunt dammit.

My mother used to say, "Live in hope, die in despair"..I HOPE she was wrong because, even at this early stage, I am hoping we can do better next time around.

have supported balmain wests tigers for 35 years and look what sh!t they dish up on my 38 th birthday i have nearly had enough of it i think all the promise and under achieving players whom are over rated and dont deliverits time to move them on :bash t

Toto be honest with you i thought that there effort on monday night was shizen housen i have been supporting them for 35 years but wuth so many overrated under axhieving pkayers i think we need a good clean out i forr one wont be attendingf on sunday if they dont improve soon im changing to a team that delivers not one that is always gznna and never deli :bash vers
