Temperature means nothing before the game. It's not like the Gold Coast side are more acclimated to the heat. It's hotter in most parts of Sydney than it is in the Gold Coast. What it does mean is that momentum will be more pronounced, so ball control, discipline and last tackle options are even more crucial than usual. We must control the flow of the match if at all possible. And we must take it right to Bird and Taylor from the get go and get them overthinking.

we seem to struggle in the heat though and thrive in the wet.

didn't we get thrashed last year by the titans at GC during the day too?

and i woulda thought it's hotter up there than in sydney, but ive never lived there so i wouldnt know
