I'm braising up my Australia Day Feed tonight… Lamb Pie with Mushy Peas!

Yummmo. How do you do your peas TW?
I simmer mine with some vinegar and then mush them. Always have them on the bottom of the pie.

Hey Mama and Watto, what about the Lamb pie with mash and peas on the side covered in roast lamb gravy…sensational.

Yummmm, makes my mouth water.

reduce them down slowly with finely diced eshallots; dice mint; chicken stock jelly [home made] until they break down and whip them with butter… takes 2 hours but they are pretty good as the starchyness takes time to breakdown.

Outstanding pies, including the hot custard tart. A good pie day today in the upper mountains.

The brekky pie looks delicious. Next time I'm making pies, i will attempt to make one of those. I'm salivating at the thought of it.

A man that can cook is a man after my own heart TW.
My recipe is quite delicious, but yours sounds out of this world. Yummm

A great meat pie does not need any sauce.

Red Neds at Nelson Bay does a mean pie.

Can not go pass a steak, onion and mushroom pie follow by an apple and berry pie.

North Sydney oval use to have excellent pies.

Can also vouch for Red Neds @Nelson Bay.
Some funky flavours as well, I liked the Thai Sweet Chilli Pie.

I like sauce on my pies tho!

Red Neds at Nelson Bay is the best pie shop I've been to. And I've been to a few. All of their pies are great, but the chicken varieties are the standout for me.

Might want to pass on this bakery

When in Sydney visiting parents, Bread Shop on Cox's Rd, North Ryde, has nice Curry Pies.
For me in a pie, the more curry the better.

Stopped in at the Travellers Rest at Gin Gin today and had a sea scallop in a green curry pie

Wow wow wow wow

Any luck and we will pick up a few fish this afternoon

Life is good

Has nobody been to the Riverina? Ganmain pies or my personal favourite Micks Bakehouse.

They have won a stack of awards and are the pie stand you will find at the Sydney Easter Show outside the woodshop arena and also a big stall inside the Woolies Dome.

Not sure of the exact spot but an old workplace of mine was supplied for a time with pies from a bakery somewhere in Bexley… Their chicken pies tasted like the Colonel had let them in on his secret herbs and spices. We were supposed to be selling them but pretty sure I ate more than I sold.

This is on my way to work, definitely going to make a stop…

20 minutes north of the Gold Coast - Yatala Pie Shop - middle of an industrial area near Beenleigh (Lock your cars, lads!) but it's pretty amazing.

http://www.yatalapies.com.au/

and when I was in NSW - Robertson Pie shop - great place to stop if you are doing a drive to the Southern Highlands.

Both of them are absolutely off the hook.

Yatala Pies is almost underwater UD and Watto :bawling

Up to the roof
