Great metres from Packer today. Coming off the bench suits him, and the team. I was majorly disappointed in him last season, but no complaints after todays performance. More of that Russ.

Almost laughable how he opened up that gap that led to Guthersons try.

Matulino had a decent game and i was surprised by those stats. He run hard and his defence was great also. Twal was awesome today…such a good motor on him.

To be fair to Sue the number 16 for dogs should have been booked for loitering on that play. He was wandering around out the back instead of being up in the line. When Sue moved to the left it created a gaping hole where 16 should have been.

The entire front row were good and yes, Twal has stepped his game up to another level to start the year. The kick chase was from them was great, with Mats also awesome in that area and others not shown in the limited stats above. Regardless of what a few may think, the coach would have been very pleased.

What a win, that was. The upside of this team is enormous.

Mbye back from injury was solid. Twal, Garner, Matterson, and Packer off the bench were fantastic. Is there any more gutsy and skillful little player than Corey Thompson in the NRL? And, Robbie !!! How good is he going?

The composure, patience and completions were outstanding, given the weather and the big Warriors side. One of the best wins ever I think; and at Campbelltown ?!?! It's been a graveyard for us in the past but the place was pumping last night.

I hope its packed out again next Sunday for the battle of the south-west with the Bulldogs.

I hope they sign Mikaele before the deadline, he is off contract at the end of this year, need to keep this young man. Twal had a great game last night, Matulino might not have made the metres, but his defensive work was great, he didn't miss. Madge is doing a great job.

I usually put more relevance on meters per carry rather than total carry. An effective forward will run many decoy runs and you never get a stat for that but i can guarantee the coaching staff will know about it

Matulino underperformed again, he is overpaid, Seumanufagai and Sue would be a bettter value!

Matulino and Taylor make the tackles that count. That’s why the keep their spots.

I re watched the game last night as i often dont take things in the first time around, and Taylor cleans up a lot in the middle as does Matulino. Taylor in particular slows down the play the ball most effectively in our team and as someone mentioned above Mats was a dummy runner a lot of the time. So for both cases i dont think the stats are a true reflection of thier games. Farah was head and shoulders MOM Twal had a huge game but almost everyone had a very decent game.
We stuck in the grind the first half when in previous seasons we would have buckled, our fitness and possibly mindset seem to be improved under Madge.

ET was a link man in attack on a few occasions. He’s not a pig.

He’s there for his defence more than anything.

To put it in perspective, I was talking to Trent Robinson's brother a few weeks ago (he's on the coaching staff at the chooks) and he rates Taylor - reckons the cleanup work around the ruck and the slow down of the play the ball cannot be underestimated.
