I don't think he should be stripped of the awards as the ** puts just as bad a light on the NRL as his name.

Also how many medals do you strip? Dally M, Brad Fittler medal, Eels player of the year? Fullback of the year? That's too many ** that 50 years down people will want answers for and see the NRL in a bad way.

What I would do is make Jarryd Hayne ineligible for all future awards such as Team of the century, Rugby League Hall of Fame, Immortal etc etc- official or unofficial.

All being said, I hope the victim in all this gets all possible care required. Whether it be anonymity, counselling, compensation or physical assistance. Good on her, the brother in-law and even Danny Weidler for bringing this to attention.

Justice is served and hope this name is never mentioned again.

Yet he can play .. but jdb is out of the game 2.5 years(still not playing) and hasn’t been found guilty . Yes I know he was up for a more serious offence but I find it ludicrous the one not found guilty of a crime is rubbed out of the game longer

JDB charges are far more serious with a possible sentence of 10+ years.It is not a fair comparison

I can understand it honestly. If it turns out he is found guilty it's a bad look on the game that they allowed him to play.

Spot on , I would love to know what these “player managers “ have been doing for these players other than collecting the 6.5%
- do they set up investments for them ?
- do they actively manage what the players post playing career going to be ?

I would be surprised if most of them do that. Probably one or two out there who do.

That's why I say player managers should only get a scheduled fee for negotiating player deals. It would end protracted negotiations, and the player isn't getting wounded just to be represented by a bloke who only has interest in how much commission he can drag out of him.
