Was really happy with my whipping boy at the start of the year Halatau. Can't believe how well he is playing this year.

Agree,Dene has been very good of late,leading by example,I must give credit to the other whipping boy,Lovett,he did pretty well last night with 26 tackles…good commitment ...

Lovett is a better bench option than Buchanan tbh even if they are different positions, neither could bust through a wet paper bag. Would still have Santi over him. The problem is he just has no impact. When he came on last night though he missed the early testing ground and it helped him to not get found out.

Taupau and Lawry back though and it's bye bye Kyle and Jack.

I think the key for Lovett is the minutes. If he plays any more than 40 he gets gassed and becomes a liability. Short stints off the bench with games back in State Cup for fitness should be his place for now.

Very true TITG,the good thing though is he is gaining valuable experience at this level,he may be a better player as you say honing his skills in State Cup,I will let him show improvement next year before we cast him off..

Taylor said as much last week in the presso , they wanted to give him a break but Rowdy got injured and he ended up playing 75 minutes again

Brooks 6 missed tackles, still a concern IMO.

Also when you compare Lovett's stat's with Sirro, Sue and Halatau it's very good

Ava back to his best. Loved the run close to the line, it just shows what he can do when he charges with intent! (And gets on the end of a good pass).

Sue seems to go better in the front row rather than the #13, for what the difference is?

Moses 94 metres… if anyone deserves a licence to 'play what is in front of you' it looks like it's him!
