I don't think he should be trying to thread legs when he can't even get it between the yawning gaps between players. He should just play high % football. Use his pace to get on the outside of his opposite and then slide his kicks through on the angle.
 
Liddle tackled tough but his distribution wasn't great, lots of passes above or behind the halves.
 
Since finals look out of reach, coach may as well give less experienced but promising players like Liddle, Aloiai, Eisenhuth, Felise, Marsters and even Twal every opportunity in first grade.
Barring injury depletion, there is no need to waste a spot on non performers like Lovett, Edwards and MCK anymore. Even Lawrence should go to ISP, he's a plodder.
