Information obtained from Fox Sports website:

Wests Tigers

IN:

Evander Waitoa, 18, halfback (Wellington)
As fresh as they come, Waitoa has been plucked straight of Wainuiomata High School, a district of New Zealand with a proud rugby league history. Named the NZ Secondary Schools Player of the Year for 2010.

Jacob Miller, 18, halfback (Sydney Roosters):
A promising No.7 who may have to cut his teeth in Toyota Cup if Tim Moltzen is fit and Robert Lui beats an assault charge. Miller has been touted for his athleticism but also has question marks over his attitude.

Marika Koroibete, 18, wing (Fiji):
A speedy winger with touted defensive ability, Koroibete graduated to the Fiji national side while still at high school. Likened to compatriot Akuila Uate, he was sought after by the Knights before being lured to the Tigers.

Mosese Fotuaika, 18, prop (Keebra Park):
Another schoolboy product, Fotuaika joins the Tigers from Keebra Park, Queensland - one of the most dominant rugby league high schools of recent years. By all reports he is a barnstorming front-rower with a taste for try scoring.

Ratu Tagive, 18, wing (Canterbury-Bankstown):
Brother of former Tigers winger Peni, Tagive has a reputation as a speedy outside back who is safe under the high ball. The 18-year-old was part of the Bulldogs' Toyota Cup glory run in 2010 and is tipped to heap pressure on Beau Ryan.

Teqele Nayarvovo, 19, wing (Otahuhu Leopards - New Zealand),
A giant winger from New Zealand's top provincial team, Nayarvovo stands well over six foot and carries a 100kg-plus frame. With a further year of NYC eligibility, keep an eye on him to develop through the program.

OUT: David Gower (St George Illawarra), Daniel Fitzhenry (Retired), Tame Tupou (Redcliffe).

Looking forward to seeing these guys running around in the Toyota Cup trials. The Tigers should boast a very strong side with a sizeable and well balanced forward pack and some excellent pace and size out wide.

I'll chalk it up to his age at this point, but that worries me. I remember what happened last time we had a disinterested playmaker…

Very true CB. The Roosters must have let him go for a reason.

But good depth signing if he does improve his attitude. If anyone can knock some sense into him, it will be Sheensy.

Some very promising signings overall for NYC by the sounds of it!

Also noticed Koroibete is already an international for the Fijian side.

Our rep signing for 2011? :stuck_out_tongue:

They also let his halves partner Brad Murray got to Parra - and Murray was a member of the NYC team of the year in 2010!

Whether there were reasons other than the simple fact that the two Roosters top-grade halves are still so young - leaving little room for Miller or Murray to progress - or due to poor attitude (+ Murray now being identified as placing bets on the Cows-Dogs match) - remains to be seen!

From what I have read this kid is a freak….carved up in the 'friendlies' in the led up to the Four Nations...very excited about him...

On Jacob Miller...Wests Tigers have a totally different culture to the Sydney Rorters ...I mean Todd Carney and Nate Miles as opposed to Robbie Farah and Benji Marshall....seriously he will be fine and the kid can play....

Sheens must stay if we want to develop these boys. If anyone else comes, they will start doing marquee signings without looking at the junior talents forcing us to leave them. Just an opinion though and might be off topic. Sorry Willow.

Looking at the Tigers recruitment compared to the other teams I believe thay dominate on the field like we have never seen. St Merge are kidding themselves if they seriously think that they will be title contenders with that pack of pillows!!! Come on please!!!! Souffs r dreaming if they think they can contend with that pair of walkabout halves as well as the majority of a Bundy cup backline! Rooters are really having a lend of their supporters if they truly believe they r title contenders!!! I know I will be enjoying 2011 bigtime!!! GO U TIGERS!!!! :sign:

Im agreeing - But how much if at all is our passion, emotion and all round One Eyedness clouding our judgment ???

the Weight of expectation is growing here at the WTF certainly.
