Im agreeing - But how much if at all is our passion, emotion and all round One Eyedness clouding our judgment ???

the Weight of expectation is growing here at the WTF certainly.

We are in the best position the Club has ever been in it's HISTORY heading into a season..What is not too get excited about…

If you are not passionate about your club and the STRENGTH it has ATM...***whats the point?**

Looking at the Tigers recruitment compared to the other teams I believe thay dominate on the field like we have never seen. St Merge are kidding themselves if they seriously think that they will be title contenders with that pack of pillows!!! Come on please!!!! Souffs r dreaming if they think they can contend with that pair of walkabout halves as well as the majority of a Bundy cup backline! Rooters are really having a lend of their supporters if they truly believe they r title contenders!!! I know I will be enjoying 2011 bigtime!!! GO U TIGERS!!!! :sign:

Pretty cocky after one good season arnt you

Love it!!!!!

Giddy Up!!!!

Geo - Im very Confident and Expectant for 2011 and 2012\. Im just trying to keep a little bit of a lid on myself and playing a little Devils advocate here on our WTF.

I grew up in a rather large family (300 odd relatives) that all follow the Drags and the otherwise good performances of their team was seen as year after year of failure. I dont want to end up like that.

I look at this countdown thing I got happening and I cant wait till 7pm on Monday the 14th of March.

66 days to go…

Except for the last two months or may be a little less the tigers were very scratchy in 2010\. We all have fresh memories of their finals campaign and thats what we are pinning our hopes on in 2011\. Form from one year to another dosnt automatically follow. Yes I can see a great year in 2011 and really I cant see why we cant give it a hell of a shake but I also know this team at times can under perform and loose games from impossible positions

Lets hope they are a year smarter and stronger but Iam not going to get carried away two months before a ball is kicked or a tackle made. I followed a great Balmain side that never could get their hands on the holy grail, so Iam a little wary of, off season hype

The key to our 2010 success and grounds for our optimism in 2011 was the new toughness, maturity & resolve in defence that we displayed!

While we can lose games we shouldn't - we also proved we can win close games - including some which we were arguably not entitled to!

All of these factors combined with the natural growth and development of our plethora of young talent bodes well for 2011! Injuries to key players remain ours (and every team's) biggest concern!

Its a results business more so for some than others.

I agree…I dont want that either, that said....the days when the major upset - oh so sweet victory circa '01-'04 are long gone like it or not. Its been quite a few seasons now when I would travel to games hoping we'd win but realistically holding not much hope - the results more often than not backed up the feelings.

We are expected to compete and win in all our tussles now

And Sheensy (since the dark old days) - has done his best to assure we have a deep developing squad capable of meeting those expectations!!

That is why I refuse to bag solid contributors on the field in those lowly years - like Buddha, Mark O'Halloran, Nick Bradley-Q, Cainey, Tyran Smith, Robbie Mears, Linc Withers etc!! (and it is also why the likes of Buckets, Hollywood, Skando & Benny G deserve more credit than they get!!!!)

They all played tough & committed footy for the club when surrounded by park footballers(e.g Kaufusi/Richter, Ben Black etc)!!!
