Players on your Shopping list for 2013

Klemmer's manager is asking for $300k (which despite the figures you read in the paper is huge money) and more than many origin players.

1\. Cronk
2, Slater
3, Inglis, he'll have to move to the centres
4\. James Tamou
5.Tariq Simms

dan hunt, josh macguire

not sure about our big 2nd rowers.. i'll see how blair, pettybourne and blair go next couple of games, then make a decision.

yep thats true but we do have heaps of players off contract to. But for now we need to lock up Robbie Farah long term then the rest will take care of it self. Hopfully were in the market for props for 2014 season but will see what Mick Potter wants to recruit for the 2014 season first.

Does anyone have a list of players coming off contract at the conclusion of this season? I don't think we should be buying anyone until Robbie sorts out his future.

their was talk last year of Manly being very keen to snare Big Keff when he comes off contract. Not sure where it came from, but read last week on another forum that Manly had strong links with a class prop from a rival club. Would be very suprised if it had any legs but we never expect Ryan to up and leave either

Without being able to name names (as I have no idea who is off contract), I would like to see some purchases in the following molds
1\. A prop who has well over 100 games to his name, is capable of starting games, but won't break the bank, useful to provide leadership to the younger guys we've got and keep Keithy and Woodsy on their toes for their starting spots
2\. A pacey centre to provide a bit of potency into our outside backs. Jennings would have been a good pick up for this role, but obviously his wage demands were over the top. Someone who opposition centres will fear leaving unmarked if they want to try and close down Marshall as they don't need much space to make a break. Also capable of scoring a long range try
3\. A hard working back rower who will regularly top the tackle count for us and make some runs to take the pressure off our props at times. I don't think Braith will take on a large work rate and Blair is better suited to an impact role and should condition himself accordingly (ie put on some size). A player who will replace Ellis' work rate even if they don't have the same impact or aggression

Whats a contact these days, if im going to dream about the improbable i might as well go all the way

Obviously re-signing Farah would be top priority, but I would love to see us sign some massive props with plenty of mongrel and not at a huge price.

These blokes are probably locked up in contracts but I would love to snare Ben Matulino and Kane Evans. Both massive units and would have huge impact off the bench.

Wouldn't mind someone like Aiden Tolman or Tom Learoyd-Lars either.

Just a solid front rower who will make 9-10+ metres a hit-up and put plenty of fear into the bloke their running at, and be safe in defence.

it's amazing, we had so much that we let go off.
not saying there arent other players like these, but feel a bit let down by the club in that regard.
