Plenty of money raised through pink player jerseys and boots

Tuesday 26 June 2012 12:47 PM

Wests Tigers supporters dug deep to support the Concord Cancer Centre by bidding on some fantastic player worn items as part of Women In League round last week.

The following items were sold at auction with proceeds going to the Concord Cancer Centre - who cared for the late Sonia Farah. A total of $10,750 was raised through the auction.

- Benji Marshall’s number 7 jersey and pink boots worn against Newcastle in round 16\. Sold: $3600.

- Beau Ryan’s playing jersey and pink boots worn against Newcastle in round 16\. Sold: $2600.

- The pink boots worn by Tim Moltzen (Sold $1000), Adam Blair ($850) and Ben Murdoch-Masila ($700) against Newcastle in round 16.

- a team signed Wests Tigers pink Women In League jersey. Sold $2000.

Amazing work. Pretty funny Moltz's boots went for more than Blair's and he only played 5mins

So glad they went for a good amount! Some people on the WT Facebook page were disgusting saying things like $1.75 or whatever being sour about the game. Angered me so much
