Mal Meninga has named six debutants as part of the Australian Prime Minister's XIII to take on Papua New Guinea Prime Minister's XIII in Port Moresby on Saturday 24 September.

James Tedesco, Semi Radradra, Mitchell Moses, Tyson Frizell, Josh Jackson and David Klemmer will take their place in the team travelling to PNG next week, with the match to be played at the National Football Stadium in the nation's capital.

The full squad features a majority of current representative players, with Meninga confirming the match would provide an opportunity for players to push for selection ahead of the Four Nations tour at the end of this year and the Rugby League World Cup next year.

"This is an outstanding squad. There are four representatives from the Test match against New Zealand and on top of that, no less than nine of the players were a part of Origin this year.

"The PNG tours are some of the most enjoyable trips I have been on, but they are no holiday when you run onto the field.

"The PNG boys play a tough and energetic brand of football and they will be well backed by a huge crowd, all willing the home team on.

"Whenever you get the chance to visit and play rugby league in Port Moresby, it's a special experience and this game will be no different."

Rabbitohs captain Greg Inglis will captain the Prime Minister's XIII.

Well done Tedesco Moses and Woods…

This is a stronger team that is normally named..

Will be interesting at training the first time when Tedesco and James bump into each other.
Also of interest how Moses goes with the big boppers looking after him.
Shows the high regard he is shown by the important judges of a footballer.

Good side, it will be good to see how Moses goes in a different team?

Is this game televised?

Never in the history of this game has it been televised…

This can only serve Moses in good stead playing with quality players around him.
He won't know himself having a right hand side defence that can defend

Congratulations to the boys…

Thats probably the best team ever to play up there, so Mal is taking this serious and using it as a trial for 4 Nations.

The PNG Fans will be so excited seeing this team arrive!

MOSES… Surprise for me

Not for me, he has been one of the form 6's running around for the past couple of months. With that sort of pack around him he'll carve up IMO.

These PNG players run hard. Moses is lucky he has Pearce with him in the halves. Pearce is an excellent defender for a half.

Longer than you have been taking typing lessons….?

Haven't had a lot of time to follow and watch footy till recently, been busy working and help raise a family.

I know the origins of the game, why they play it and who is eligible.

It doesn't make sense not to televise it and givin it is for the people of PNG why they dont sell the rights and donate it back to the people of PNG or put it towards the development of the league there?

I'm sure there is an audience for it here, given the players are selected from teams that are out of finals contention?
