Actually heard a union leader bring up a good point in regards to the Governments usage of imported cars 2004 it was at 74% of locally used cars for government across the board

2012 it is a paltry 17%

We are closing factories and losing jobs hand over fist in the automobile industry If we are going to have a local automobile market we need it to be better supported

If not ,just scrap the lot in my opinion

LOL…Julia has the shitz!!!

She can deal it out but cant take it. Who's that remind you of ...Ruddy!!!

Seriously though, her refusal to acknowledge or even answer rudimentary questions on this subject just makes her look more guilty.

"Mr Blewitt is a man who has publicly said he was involved in fraud," she said. "Mr Blewitt is a man who has sought immunity from prosecution.

"Mr Blewitt admits to using the services of prostitutes in Asia. Mr Blewitt has published lewd and degrading comments and accompanying photographs of young women on his Facebook page.

"Mr Blewitt, according to people who know him, has been described as a complete imbecile, an idiot, a stooge, a sexist pig, a liar, and his sister has said he's a crook and rotten to the core.

"His word against mine, make your mind up." Yeah so on one side we have a confessed fraudster, idiot, stooge, et.al and on the other a woman that has told that many porkies even she doesnt know what the truth is anymore. No wonder the country is confused.

She then went on to attack the Coalition for being peddlers of "sleaze and smear" LOL Look in the mirror.

She would know all about Liars Stryker She specializes in it

The only reason she has tried to get this out in the press is to try and avoid answering questions in parliament which would prove her as a liar

What questions has Gillard avoided asking? Bishop has produced zero evidence Gillard did anything illegal.

With all the lies Julia has told ,why would anyone believe her

So why didn't Julia inform the AWU when they were selling the house her boyfriend was in that it would be compromised Yoss

Because she would be handing her butt on a plate ,thats why

Even the legal firm is distancing itself from her Yoss

She reckons its all bluster , but if it was she wouldn't be doing what she has so far

Yeah yeah you sound like a broken record  … I'll give you a tip - they all lie. Abbott does it too.

Slater & Gordon are hardly distancing themselves - she hasn't been with the firm for a considerable time. They aren't trying to protect and nor should they. There is a world of difference between not taking a side and distancing themselves.

"So why didn't Julia inform the AWU when they were selling the house her boyfriend was in that it would be compromised Yoss"

This I don't understand... What is the allegation? Julia Gillard has to inform the AWU she was selling a house??? The whole thing is a total waste of time and wouldn't even be an issue if not for The Australian's hysterical obsession with it.

I am doubting anything will come of this, but that's not really the point. The point is to further tap into the perception that Gillard can't be trusted. It's pretty much the Coalition's only hope, having been defeated on nearly every policy issue and offering nothing themselves. Any calls of 'Gillard must resign' are pretty hollow, they want to keep her exactly where she is. The only people who want her to resign are Michael Smith and anyone else with a massive chip on their shoulder. And Kevin Rudd.

I'm pretty sure Gillard was not involved with Wilson, or Slater and Gordon, at the time the house was sold.

If anyone wants to read the PM's response to today's 'bombshell' you can find it here

I know, I know, it's full of lies from a lying liar.

Why listen to the Prime Minister when we can take the word of a bloke who buries his money in the backyard?

I can't believe Fairfax and News Ltd couldn't work this out themselves though? Clearly being a union and being linked to union activity are two very different things. You're left with the assumption that they knew and didn't care.

Anyway once again JG has provided direct and detailed answers on the matter. No doubt once again The Australian will continue with its petty little vendetta…

Being the last sitting day of Parliament, this is the Coalition's big push. The fact that Gillard clarified that she was not trying to start a trade union is their ace in the hole.

Labor are gone. She cant be trusted and their policies are failures. They annouce the disabilty scheme with no money attrached to it because they have spent it all. Would you rather fast internet or to look after the needy. 45 Billion and counting so we can all download movies and other things quicker. what a joke.

yoss i know they all lie from both sides of the fence but she got to power on a lie after knifing Kevin Rudd in the back and then the Carbon tax lie and last only got in because of the looney greens prefrences.

Also Wasnt Bruse Wilson Married with kids at the time she was with him.

All class our PM

I'm not aware of Bruce Wilson being married or having kids in the early 90s. If you can direct me to a mainstream source (i.e. not Larry Pickering) that says otherwise please do so.

The NBN is a lot more than enabling faster downloads. The Liberals also support spending big money to provide faster internet.

Tony Abbott became leader of the Liberal Party by knifing Malcolm Turnbull. Julia Gillard became leader of the ALP by knifing Kevin Rudd. Very few major party leaders achieve the position through consensus.

Both parties receive preferences from dubious minor parties. Besides your issue must be with the people who voted Green then preferenced Labor. Not all of those people are loonies. The ALP formed a government with the support of 3 non-Green Independents (well maybe 2.5 if you consider Wilkie). Abbott tried to convince the same three people to back him. It's politics, he lost.

Soap Operas and dramas galore! With Howard it was Tampa with Gillard it is Slater & Gordon and Peter the Speaker. Tax payers better enjoy watching this entertainment because a good part of their tax they pay goes towards the salary of these comedians. In the meantime who is running the country?

Saw a side to Gillard today I dont think weve seen before…was intriguing in a way, it was almost like it was someone else

But she still knew and she was part of the Labor Party If she wanted to be clear and precise she would of come out and told whoever she needed to tell ,whether it was Slater and Gordon or the AWU

My thoughts exactly! It's really embarrassing watching these idiots continually raking up muck and trying to throw dirt on each other, then calling it a day's work - forget the ancient history and just get on with running the damn country today!

I think if the Coalition gets voted in next federal election we have the perfect person now involved in politics to handle these blokes as the house speaker (as long as no one has an issue with him moving from state to federal 0

Tim Mander ex NRL referee is now a state pollie in Qld Coalition and ex NRL commentator Jason Costigan is also in

We could turn it real live action with Mander sending ladies and gents to the sin bin and Costigan commentating on it

If pollies carried on like this in the middle east, they'd probably be stoned to death.

I say if they're going to bicker and fight on tax payer money, they may as well make it entertaining and go all out battle-royale style like the Kuomintang party in Taiwan or the Japanese.

At the start of Question Time would Mander blow his whistle and scream "Whoop whoop whoop". That'd be gold

With respect, you or I don't know what she knew. If there was any available evidence she knew of the wrongdoing then I'm sure someone would have raised it this week. I don't know if she did anything wrong, she might have. What I do know is that the Opposition is doing a pretty piss poor job of prosecuting the case.

Interestingly enough the Government found time to introduce framework legislation for the Gonski school funding boost, and National Disability Insurance Scheme

http://www.theaustralian.com.au/national-affairs/health/first-steps-towards-ndis/story-fn59nokw-1226527029566

http://news.smh.com.au/breaking-news-national/gonski-bill-lacks-funding-detail-schools-20121128-2acon.html

If you want to discuss people getting paid to do nothing, the Coalition decided they wouldn't bother turning up to debate either bill

The pokies legislation also passed Parliament, the Coalition opposed it despite voluntary pre-commitment being their official policy
