This thread certainly fell on hard times, it can barely raise a post these days!

I guess it's because Tony Abbott is doing such an A1 job, restoring dignity to the parliament, putting the adults back in charge, ending the deceit, getting the budget back on track, etc etc.

wait, what?

:roll :roll
This is a gee up right

Yep. And good ole Alan Jones couldn't help himself but that's okay - there will be plenty of people to piss on his grave when the time comes.

What did the foul-mouthed cretin say now, Yoss?

Here's the summary. Obviously I don't waste my time listening to his show.

Someone forgot to give that memo to all his mates in parliament on the right, they've all joined together to laud a man who was a true visionary and genuinely wanted to make this country an even better place. The truth is that Gough probably did more for Jones than any subsequent PM.

It's a damn shame that they only look to feather the nests of those whom bankroll their platforms these days which explains why very few people give a rats about politics.

Haha nice

Thank god we have such a wonderful collection of ministers for lowlife affairs, and a PM and Treasurer prepared to shirtfront pensioners, to protect corporate monopolies from the selfish expectations of citizens to have investment in future technologies so that their children and grandchildren might also be prosperous and safe from unprecedented climate-related disasters….

One of my biggest concerns is the housing market.
With Chinese investors spending almost $6 billion in Australia's real estate market last financial year, the Federal Parliament's House Economics Committee is examining the laws governing
foreign investment.

The loose rules around foreign home buying and the watchdog's failure to enforce the existing rules are being blamed for the frothiness in the housing market.

Liberal MP Kelly O'Dwyer, who leads a parliamentary inquiry due to slammed the FIRB over its failure to monitor and enforce the rules for foreign buyers. It is illegal for foreign buyers to purchase existing homes in Australia, but the watchdog has not launched a single prosecution since 2006.

Yep, the young increasingly lose the opportunity to own their home (and gain wealth doing so), while the wealthy older generations keep getting their 10-15% annual gain every year from a market inflated by foreign investment.
Watch them all run on the 'families first' and 'the children are our future' hogwash next election.
Like they give a s**t about families and intergenerational equality.

Here we have the Greedy twenty meeting in Brisbane and in a well overdue change, most of the talk is about well being, refugee rights, and the future, with climate change taking center stage.

Blind Freddy could see movement on the horizon (if they could see through the pollution in their respective locations), yet the host country with its current conservative leaders is on the exact opposite path on most issues.

The "few people" kicked out Labour after it was dismissed ( a record win by the Liberals). Then they were flogged again in the next election. What in the hell does that tell you?

The left wing loonies are alive and well. Which is a shame for our country which cannot afford anymore of the Rudd/Gillard rape of our great nation.

Possibly Tasmania's answer to Pauline Hansen in the future

I'm almost certain that I read somewhere that she said that she joined PUP primarily because she didn't have the funds to challenge as an Independent.

Lambie used Clive for his platform and advertising and split when she felt she wasn't getting her way. Actually surprised Palmer didn't see this happening from the outset. He's an idiot and she's about as disingenuous as they come.

Gillard this morning is demanding an apology - where is the apology from her for lying to us - hypocrites at their best

Fair enough X, she should never have back flipped on the eve of that election and muttered such in the first place. An apology was due immediately the respective house numbers and resultant political climate changed.

Actually X, Nick Minchin is the one who really owes the community an apology. His (and a few far right colleagues) parting legacy is somehow still blossoming, with the conservative fruit of his labour bearing for the progressive world to see at the recent G20 meeting.

I think she still owes Kevin Rudd an apology.

Rudd is an unstable egomaniac, he needed to be shafted. It amazes me that people still can't see that.

Swapped one egomaniac for another.
