The lack of comment on the latest knives in the back of a serving PM shows how immune we have become to a now oh so common occurrence.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the planet, the leader of a country has only only escaped being arrested and charged because he is the President. Not likely, but if the Democrats happen to overcome the structural voting improbability and pull off control of the congress in upcoming midterms, then impeachment will be greeting Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon.

3 more rats left the sinking government today.Lets hope this farce is over shortly and we have an election.
Both sides of politics have made mistakes in the last 10 years time for a cleanout

The latest iteration has Morrison taking on Dutton. Geez, Dutton is unpalatable to me, but Morrison not far behind. Surely there is a reasonable candidate amongst them.

It is satisfying to watch the Libs tear themselves apart again. Tony "not a wrecker" Abbott is balls deep in this.

The crazy part of it all is that Abbott would undoubtedly believe that he is doing the right thing(again). How his wife who is fine puts up with him i will never know.

Bishop is a reasonable candidate that would spare us from a lot of dog whistling style politics that will no doubt be coming either way. If Dutton wins, whilst he will be softening his persona to appeal to a wider audience, the campaign will be horrible for many marginalised groups.

Abbott has ruined this current decade federally.

It wont take long for the radical right of the party to start knifing Morrison they didnt get their man in.2gb and murdochs hatchet people in news/fox will soon start white anting him

Maybe after losing 40 polls the party had to do something and heading for major defeat.. got to get off the Abbott hate train , this was about self preservation make no mistake .. Shorten will be a bit unsettled by Morrison if he rebouts the Libs into a center right party he certainly is a parliamentary performer.. shame about the team he supports.

How hilarious that Ray Hadley and co failed to get "their" man in power, instead they got the ex they broke up with and still resent…

I wonder if Morrison can last to the next election,
Although I think that Abbott wouldn’t be wanting to have to face the election when it probably will be a smash up for the Coalition.
I think he’d rather have Morrison be the sacrifice ,and then challenge after the Election ,
The Liberals seem like they are stupid enough to give Abbott and his ego another run.
If this wasn’t the people who make decisions which affect our lives,
It would make the funniest slapstick movie ever made,
These people are beyond incompetent,
Turnbull will be collecting his parliamentary pension, and the Commonwealth car card, and the keys to his free offices and secretary for life,
Probably , followed not long after by Morrison, doesn’t it make you feel warm and fuzzy knowing that they get a golden handshake, even if they only serve a week, (as well as all the rest of their perks)
