You realise that what you just said about the Senate can be said about the whole impeachment process? i.e. "Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon has been impeached, by the House, accused of zero crimes, by the Democrat led House, with zero Republican votes". What a shock.

The initial impeachment motion was a partisan job. Not one of the Republicans voted for it and even one of the Democrats didnt vote for it (Gabbard).

Something as important as impeachment needs to be bipartisan. in order for that to be the case the accusers need to provide evidence that would compell bipartisan action. The Dems had the opportunity to do that in the House and they didnt. End of story.
